My PIN is blocked somehow.. I am not getting EDGE in capital. 55666(vodafone BB helpline) ppl telling me that Your PIN has been blocked by RIM and you need to unlock it to use the BIS. Everything was working fine till 31st Aug. Since 1st Sept. Morning I was not getting EDGE in capital. No entries in HRT either. How can RIM block the PIN ?

Btw My BB Tour was orginally locked to Verizon.

Vodafone 599 BIS plan not launched in Bangalore yet :( just spoke to customer care on the same and they said that for Karanataka Vodafone is comming up with 3 new plans and they are cheaper and requested me to hold on to 899 plan.

New plans to be rolled out by this month end.

Saw a bit on the box about the upcoming BB Torch with both touch and slide out keypad. Looked brilliant.

Guys, whats the current price for a BB 8520? Planning to change from my Bold as I found it to be perfect in terms of usability and more importantly the touchpad that it comes with.

I am totally fed-up with Bold's scroll ball issues. It keeps getting stuck every other day and makes my life miserable.

As slide out keyboard is something new for BB Keyboard it is for sure an amazing thing. But as being in telecom hardware field for a while I would stay away from anything which is not a bar phone

I bought it a month ago from Mobile Store on Outer ring road for 13,400. Includes free screen guard, pouch and purse (Mobile stores merchandise).

Prior to that I visited all the other stores, freebies and the price was the best from these guys.

Cheers
Raghu

I am sure many of you guys have some experience with fommy.co.in for some product or other, many blackberry users frequent this place, I believe.

I have posted about this few months back, that was about the delay in their shipping and the low quality of products. This time its about the wrong product shipped and not giving the 'free shipping' benefit. I ordered car dash holder for my phone and a mini-USB to macro USB converter. First product was very low quality and different from that were shown in the pictures and second product was poor quality and faulty. To cut the crap shot, I had to ship it back (Rs.80) and blame my bad luck for a 14 days-long misery and end of the day no product at hand. Now getting back to ebay for the same.

I have taken a decision never to try fommy again. I deserve this for going against the suggestions of many friends to get things from ebay .

Just thought i'd check.

I have a BB8330 Curve, Official Reliance. The brochure for the handset says that it is EVDO enabled handset.

I am however, only getting 1X while using it as a tethered modem ( to surf the net on the laptop).

Spoke to BB Support and they tell me that for getting EVDO speed, i need to purchase a data plan. It wont be possible to get such speeds for just using the BB as a tethered modem. The rep wasnt sounding too sure.

Anybody using the BB as a tethered modem and getting EVDO speeds? Esp. without any data plan?

Guys I lost my N95 recently and have to really get a phone immd. I do have a spare phone but that is without the gprs package.
The grey market blackberry torch is available for 34k . I was just thinking whether this is a good price to pay, considering my cousin jus bought his 9700 bold 2 months back for 28k.
What are the disadvantages of a grey market phone ?

Considering warranty is not that big an issue for me because I'm anyways leaving to spain for my further studies in January .
Also checked the phone for any AT&T symbols and didnt find any (just to check whether it was the unlocked US version) .
The shopkeeper also says I wont have any problems with the phone with respect to updating and software updates.
