Thanks a lot KICHA.

Done as mentioned via using the payment options and now its working fine. I wonder why we are having the customer care when they can't even able to understand the issue.

Yes and No.

I went to the VF store at Palarivattom and the 'techies' there had a close look and then they sent a fastrack mail detailing about the issue. Someone from Bangalore called me on the same day itself but he couldn't solve it. Then I called up cc to check about the mail and they were like and again took my complaint and told that this will be solved on 24 hrs...and am still waiting.

Its fine, happens. You can't expect a world class mobile operator to provide a world class customer service too..simply because this is INDIA and there is no value for customers here.

Rajesh.

Oho! i missed this - congrats

Why can't they sell the 9780s made in Hungary in the first place - we could have avoided the drama-shama

I found a seller in ebay.in for the battery, entire casing, leather pouch etc. Placed my orders (2 different sellers) and got the battery delivered home today. Waiting for the case & leather pouch.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

So today all of a sudden a thin white line started appearing on my 8520's screen.
Any idea how to get rid of it?
My phone is still 10 months old but I guess the warranty is void (?) because I got the outer housing changed in london a few days back.

Thanks for the update. Can you share the sellers info via PM or right here? Again, i am looking for entire casing for 9300 (curve 3g).

Cheers

Edit - Any info if 9320 is available in white anywhere in India?

Here is the seller I got my case from http://stores.ebay.in/itspocketfriendly
I find 'angry bird' covers for curve models, but just search a bit on ebay, you will find what you are looking for.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Here is an update: The seller send me a wrong cover/entire casing (I assume its of 8100). Send him a mail for replacement or money back. The quality is very poor, I really doubt if we can ever get high quality original stuff anywhere. Everything comes from china !! Luckily this came from Delhi, I was thinking if I received the same thing shipped from UK or HK, return would have costed badly !

Thats sad to hear & frustrating at the same time. You can try Faceplate | Housing | Repair parts | Accessories | Mobile parts - Cellular Accessories | Mobile

I have P 9981 updated to OS 7.1 Bundle 1149 and USB car charger works perfectly on it.

Try changing the charger, there might be something wrong with it.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Posting on behalf of a friend. He needs to buy a Blackberry and is confused between the 9900 and the 9790. Which is a better phone. He's not too concerned about the HD recording. Main factors are the processor (Does the better processor in the 9900 really make a difference for a normal user), keypad and battery life. Anyone using either of these phones please give your views.
Also he wanted to know how much he can expect for his old E72 and Bold 9000 which he wants to dispose off.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Get the 9900. The slightly bigger screen and keyboard makes a lot of difference and coming from a 9000 he will be more than happy

Battery life? Get the latest update and you will easily get a day with max settings.
