Socket LGA775 Motherboard query

Hey guys, need some urgent help in getting myself a fairly good and solid motherboard for my PC as my existing motherboard MSI P7N SLI-Platinum MSI Global ? Mainboard - P7N SLI Platinum / P7N Zilent just gave up on me couple of days back. I need something as good or better within 7-9k. Kindly suggest me some good brands and models for my existing PC configuration which is as under.

Intel Core2Duo E7200
2GB DDR2 800MHZ Ram
500GB Seagate Sata HDD
Geforce 9800GT 512MB Graphics Card
Cooler Master 500W Power Supply.

I need a good solid fairly high-end motherboard without onboard graphics but with good support for my existing graphics chip (PCI Express 2.0x16 slot) and with fairly good upgradability as well. I would prefer something from Asus or Intel

thanks

Re: Socket LGA775 Motherboard query

Hey!
NVDIA 680i chipset is a very good choice in my opinion.Buy a mobo that has this 680i chipset.775 socket boards are not very common these days.So I cant talk about a particular model.Google a bit and you will find the one that suits you.

By the way,if you are ready to spend 9K,you should seriously think about upgrading to an i3. Just spend a little more money and you will get brand new setup with much better performance.
