Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

I am using bada on samsung wave I from past 4 months. And i must add that i am very happy with this mobile and OS both. Bada is very new OS in the market but it covers most of the important factors or requirements like, complete connectivity, file transfer through bluetooth and USB, cut/copy/paste, great music quality, one of the best cameras, best video recording, best screen etc. And even apps though less in number but are really good quality apps and most of my needs are well covered.

Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

Using Symbian for a few years on my personal phone and Blackberry for office. I've been loving symbian for what it was offerering all these years, but I might switch loyalties with android for my next one. Looks like the near future belongs to android. I must admit, I've had very less hands-on with an android right now to make a concrete decision.

Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

I've been bonded to use the Symbian platform for a few years now (I work at Nokia). I must admit Android is gaining a lot of steam currently. My current phone is the Nokia N8

Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

OS T-Bhp Out there(2009) (2010)

Android(Google)- 44.07%, 3.9% 22.7%
iPhone(Apple)- 22.03%, 14.4% 15.5%
Symbian(Nokia)- 27.12%, 46.9% 37.6%
Blackberry(RIM)- 16.10%, 19.9% 16.0 %
Windows(MS)- 16.95%, 8.7% 4.2%
Other- 10.17%, 6.1% 3.8%

So the Judgement is out there

1. T-Bhpian are smarter than phone users worldwide
2. Android knocking Symbian real big time.
3. iPhone going strong despite Android.
4. Blackberry loosing steam albeit slowly.
5. MS presently no upside.
6. Nokia -wakeup or "LOOSE" (May I call Honda ways ?)

Cheers

P.S T-Bhp fig as on today i.e 05 March 2011

Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

Android FroYo (2.2.3) here on HTC's Desire (actually its DesireHD's os version ported to Desire, stock Desires run on Android 2.2.1). Eagerly looking forward to Gingerbread (Android 2.3)!

Android surely is the leader of SmartphoneOS pack!

iPhone 4 with latest iOS always and i love it. Though i feared the new iPhone for its glass, its working out well with just the bumper case. Touches wood

Heard that apple has finally figured out how to multitask the right way Apple - iPhone 4 - Multitasking done the right way

Some of my friends still disagree

Seriously, I think they should have sneaked this functionality in, it's too late and awkward to advertise it now.

Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

Been using a Iphone 2g with 4.2.1.After this version the new IOS is not available for 2g. Have installed the Android on iphone Dual boot ( Iphone OS and Andorid), seems to be good but the only problem is that it does not last for more than 2 hours. had to uninstall it as its not good for everyday usage. Hoping that the Dev's will soon clear this hurdle.

Symbian should stay for another 3 years due to its loyal and existing, dependable mobile os.

Re: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

Blackberry and Symbian are history, or slowly becoming one.

Windows Mobile 7 may just make the cut, and so might Nokia.

Android is cool, but still not that ready for mass use. A bit techie still in some areas.

iOS is fabulous. Everything works out of the box and keeps working forever. The UI, IMHO is the best.

Sad about the Linux (discounting Android) promise, not seeing the light of the day.

All the rest are "Also Ran".
