Swift or Lancer ???

If you are modding the car the lacner would be my bet. if you were using the car stock the swift would be a nicer option.

I dunno why someone would want a smaller car when they can have a handsome sedan.

Brand new vs second hand bro...if you're keeping it stock, then brand new is better any day because it's covered by warranty and it's all nice and shiny.

If you're modding, then second hand is better, if you can find a well maintained example.

I'd go with the Lancer any day. I find the Swift is good for girlfriend/wife/sister/mother types.

the fact that swift is an overall package which comes

at a good price is a teardown deal..Legend of lancer would live on for years to come bt

not any more i think would a smart customer think of shelling some extra bucks if he gets

something of similar genes in Maruti...

but here you are comparing swift with a lancer. A hatchback with a sedan.

and a modified used lancer with a stock new car at the same price range.

I personally wouldnt buy a used car ever but then I wouldnt go to college in a swift( A good car that I find better than competition but dont like personally)

why go for a hatch , when you can get a sedan & mod it with that price .

end of the day a hatch is a HATCH ; just won't give the feel " I AM ARRIVED "

Throw caution to the winds mate - go for the lancer. She may be old, but still manages to arouse real drivers!

Malik, Takumi, I do agree with you. Though dated, the Lancer is still a good choice. Not entirely practical, perhaps, but then who cares?

One thing is not clear: are you purchasing used swift or new one.
Thing between lancers Vs Swift: swift wins. Good for mods, light on pocket (maintenance),
Definitely suits your collage going attitude.
If your budget is restricted, better go for used swift zxi & spend rest of the money for mods.

Opting for CNG is a nasty thing for a car when you spend so much on mods.
An alternative to this is to purchase VDI (VDI+Petes=Rocks), if you are so economical.

I think you should go for a lancer. Reason: College kid, mods, "Arrived" feel, youth...

Lancer it is. The car has got power. I love to drive it, Back in late 90's i was crazy for it, would drool having even a glimpse at the car.
Go for lancer, it has alot more fun then swift and offcourse best suited for modifications, in case you wish to.
