Do take a test drive of palio 1.6

Drive all the three in the conjusted city traffic. See which car you find more comfortable and then decide.

Bro,
we own both a Palio 1.6 and the Ikon 1.6 (not 1.3 - sory)
The Ikon is bigger and a bit more comfortable but the 1.3 not as much fun to drive as the Palio 1.6
Also, the Palio feels more solid and builds up confidence and feels much much safer. It is also more fun to drive and you would be surprised at the frequency you would find yourself using that extra power and torque.
I would reccomend the Palio over the Ikon anyday. I am not saying that the Ikon is bad but its just that if i had to choose between replacing the Palio with the Ikon 1.3, it would never happen.

Palio 1.2, would be a better option... (May be if you manage the Ferrari Red)...

go 4 palio.

hi,

Palio satisfies ur requirements. so just got 4 it.
Palio rattles less than Ikon.
my 1.2 sport gives me 13.8- 14kmpl( 50% AC, hard driving with frequent gear shifts in towndrive). the worst average it gave ws 12.8 for a hill station trip(full load).

1.2 is a bit sluggish(full load+AC) for city drive when compared to 1.6.

Ferrari red palio is a head turner than ikon(any colour).
also palio wil give maximum value for money.(not resale vale).

Dont expect maruthi like service for Palio.
but its okay.
the fact is that the car is a no-nonsense machine.

If u r confident tat u can tolerate the car's after sales service, go ahead for palio..

i mean .. go for palio only if u r PAssionate abut it.

after owning a fiat machine, i wil go for a fiat the next time too.

Happy Driving

did you say 75% highway ??? sorry ... my mistake about mileage then

the palio should manage an avg of 12 easily with mostly highway driving ... higway mileage could as well touch 13-14 at 100kmph(or less) ... starts decreasing slightly with speed after that.(http://www.miata.net/sport/Physics/06-Speed.html)

i don't think there is any problem in having 100 horses under the hood of your 'first' car. you will really enjoy it

Nitin, Palio 1.6 is one amazing machine, recently i got palio 1.6, even im a rookie driver, but i can handle 100 horses, it all boils down to wt u wnt.

Palio 1.6 is a true enthusiats car
Ford 1.3 is of a more practical man's car.

U r the only one who has to choose wt u wnt!

Happy driving.

Nitin, do have a look at Getz. It is a good car. Palio 1.6 is also very good. BTW, 1.6 Sport comes only in Red and Yellow. So which grey 1.6 Sport does your dealer have? Check it is not an old model.

I drive a palio 1.6 s10 and being a first time buyer did not face any problems handling the powerful 1.6 beauty, and I have recently received my driving license.

Cheers....Major

Thanks all for your suggestions...it seems the general opinion is to go for PALIO......
Few questions : I think i already asked this befoe...but guess it's missed out..

Is black a good colour for the car ?I love the black colour....it looks royal..
any issues with the black colour ?
eg: Scratches are more visible,Heats up a lot during summer etc.
Your feedbacks please..
One more thing : is ICICI car loan a good option ?it seems every dealer has a tie up with these guys...

Black needs extra handling. If you are willing to do that 'extra', go ahead! BTW, how much is the Sport 1.6 OTR? Here it is 5.1 L. And a discount of at least 10K makes it 5.0 L.

Black will be nice. No probs. yeah scratches will be easily visible and so will dust but owing a black car is not really a hassle. Heat maybe a bit of a problem with black but its not going to be that great.

can you please give the details for both 1.6 and 1.2 again and the prices that the dealer quoted to you and colours and accessories he is giving to you.
