Congrats!

Congrats for your Flair .It's a Good Choice buddy,

I got my Flair in chennai 3 months back for 5.0 L on road with the same deal as you mentioned.(I got a Car cover also:-) .

1.Be smooth on the first 1000 kms and then you can rev hard

2.Ikon's are known for Rust ..So Better give a Rust proof coat under the car .It may cost you around 2K-2.5K.

If you can come down to mumbai, you can get the underbody treatment done by TPC3. They are abasolute professionals in car paint, rust-proofing and underbody treatment. They charged me 2,750 for my Esteem. They give you a 15 year insurance against any sort of rust of upto 50k. Don't know if that 15 year thingy is of any help coz for sure there are very few people who will keep the same car for that long . Anyways, TPC3 does a good job. See if you can get it done

Cheers

nitinhegde,

congratulations for the new car!
good selection.

as for the rear defogger, i have seen many cars with such an after market fitment.
ask some good accessories shop in your area for that.

and do get your car's underbody protected with a rubber paint coat.
almost every co. gives atleast 5 yr warranty on such applications.

take it easy for first 1000 kms or so, though not necessary, but still feasible.
start using some fuel enhancers with each petrol filling.
get your car serviced regularly at regular intervals and only at some authorised service station. continue doing this even after your free service period is over.

lastly, how about some nice pics of you and your family on a nice trip with your new car?!
post them soon.

drive safe.

As per current temp ranges in india feeling chill cold via the Ac in the noon time is really a big question?..
I feel Ikon Ac is better than lot of other car's in the same segment.
Some tips to increase the Ac performace.

1.Try to Open your windows some time before you switch on the A/c.This will reduce the temp in the cabin of the car by allowing the fresh air from out side.Usually a parked car's inside temp will be higher than the outside temp.(If the engine is off!).

2.Always keep the inner circulation mode on during the Noon/Hot time. This will reduce the load on A/C as well dust free!.

3.Always park your car avoiding the direct sun light!
