wagon R LPG

Hi Folks,

I am looking for a new hatchback. Till now I had shortlisted the following:

1. Wagon R VXi
2. Santro Xing XL
3. Indica Xeta

But the recent petrol hike has totally shatterred my plans. As for diesel there is only an option of Indica Turbo. I dont want to try Palio as I have heard a lot about bad support.

I have also heard Maruti is launching Wagon R LPG variant but is it an official announcement till now? Can anyone put some light on this? Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Hi Folks,

Had a talk with Pratham motors. They still have not got any official circular from Maruti on that.

Cheers

mods... i have wrongly posted this in another thread as well (my first car thread). can u delete that.

has maruti quietly released wagonr-lpg ?

i cant find details of it in http://www.marutiwagonr.com/

but to my suprise, when you check on the price list, its listed there already. LPG version is available only LX/LXI variant and is marginally more than the petrol only sibling.

anybody has any news or details on this

You can safely retrofit a CNG kit rather than a LPG one. Much better performance and lesser maintainence. I saw a few threads on it.

Get it installed a reliable and authorised person.
