Is this a good 800? your opinion pls

Maruti 800 in Mumbai, Km's Run: 53000 Km's
Seller Type: Private , Features: AC, Petrol
Self driven Car. June 1997. AC, tape and tuner (pioneer make).
Seller says: Owner would enjoy tax paid & extended warranty for the 4th year covering all major parts of car ??
Price: Rs 55,000/-

What say Gurus?

I didn't get the extended warranty bit considering that its already 9 years old.
It's 4th year would be 2001 and hence the extended warranty would be over if i am not mistaken.
Otherwise sounds quite good.
Bargaing and try to get it down to 52K ish and get it checked by a trusty mechanic.

Yep Get it checked by a trusted mechnic.Was the suspension done up new or its still the one the car came with?Coz 800 suspensions are pretty fragile and need overhauling at around 55000 to 60000 km.Have done it in my 800 at 45000 km but that was with rough use.
Is the clutch job done coz OE clutch pretty much packs up at 60000 km.
Check out if its not a flood damage vehicle.Smoke comming from the exhaust.Oil for coolant and coolant for oil.Signals a blown gasket.
Axles a very important part.Turn the steering Full to the left and accelerate.If u hear any sound its a packed up axle and needs replacement.Similarly check the right side one.
All this pretty much sums it up.If everything is fine the deal sounds OK
