congrats mark, today i drove it on a steep with five adults. i had this thread in my mind so lowered the speed upto 35 in fourth gear and then pressed the acceleter no problems at all.
frankly this car does not let me know how many ppl i am carrying unlike ikon which use to sweat in similar conditions.
regarding run-in period my car is just three days old and i have already clocked 300 km. what i have done is i take it in the night at palm beach and drive it for 30-40 km at various speed and ac switched on/off 80/20 i am already feeling the engine settling down so i guess if you have a new car take it for long drives rather then short also FE so far is 10.25.

hey fight_club, i have taken it for a long trip to doon which is 250km from delhi, maintained around 2000rpm mostly, and sometimes at 2750rpm, it was a glide really

cant rip it on the drive back to delhi though, cause dad will be with me

coming back from a shortl hills road venture just now, and the car did great!!

once back in delhi, i plan to let it fly a bit on the dnd flyway

I was sceptical even to take the test drive of the Palio after hearing and reading the step child treatment it would get once tata takes over the 3S. Mustering enough courage, I visited the Fiat-Tata dealership in Noida only to walk out 10 minutes later promising never to return again.

The sales consultant showed absolutely no desire to sell the Fiat. I love Fiat for what it stands for internationally. In India, I think they are fighting a losing battle.

With Regards,
Sumit
