I've purchased Swift Vxi ( silver colour, no ABS) from BIMAL auto, Bangalore. Car was delivered last Monday in 10 days flat from booking day. I did not get any discounts as there is no offer for August. Except Rs 2000 as corporate discount. Bargained and got 12% discount on all accessories. I'd posted same query weather to wait till the festive season in the same thread few days ago. I am not sure how much discount MUL would offer for Swift, looks like Swift is in demand. Rs 15000 cash discount was offered for Swift in May, which was reduced to Rs 5000 last month and NIL for Aug. Looking at this gradual discount cut, I doubt MUL would offer good discounts on Swift even in festive season. Also few more cars would be launched (fabia ?!) around that time and this would add more confusion about which car to buy ( at least for me personally) unless some strong compotation comes in this segment or demand subsides there might not be any offers.
I request experts to please comment.

Naga, even I was offered a 20k discount on the petrol swift too.
But then, this G13B engine is due for a change. So, I withdrew.

I have a feeling that the supply is now equal to the demand of the diesel swift and its these dealers who are trying to artificially continue this waiting period story.
May they rot in hell!

Hi,

According to Mandovi-lavelle road sales guy, swift demand will continue till year end, MUL has making 5000 units each in petrol & diesel & half of the no's are exporting, so total 5000 units/month for indian customers. so naturally waiting period will be more till production no's go up,

My friend is getting his swift diesel tomorrow after 15 days of waiting after booking the car, and giving full payment a week before.

Yeah when I was in Kozhikode I visited Indus, they also promised 3 weeks delivery Surprising considering Kerala is diesel crazy country imo.

When I was wanting to buy the diesel swift, I called up Popular in Calicut and Wayanad. Tried pulling all tricks with them. But nothing worked. It was 3 months for me. Even I wanted to pay up full in cash. But they said their next batch was scheduled only after 3 months.

Maybe Maruti bumped up their production?

Its possible because the other day I spoke to the GM @ Pratham and he said I would get an allotment next month, which is a lot earlier than expected. HE gave me an ambiguous explanation saying mine was an ABS car and also something about Maruti clearing all corporate bookings much faster. I dont care as long its sooner than later!!

Ages back when I injected some "NOS" to get a better result.
Power lifting is very similar to drag racing.
All power...and a teeny weeny bit of technique.
