If you get a sparingly used WagonR, that is the best choice.

If you get a WagonR in that price range, then it's the best option.

WAGON-R is a pretty decent car, but mileage wise i am not sure if there is any difference between the 2 tall boys. Can even give a look at old ZEN which is sadly discontinued by MUL.

Both cars are good, but Santro is a more stable and successful product. I suggest Snatro.

Pls chk the car very well. it should not be accidented

regards

Could you please explain what "stable" means in this context??

@ The thread initiator

After having driven both vehicles for sometime, I would suggest you buy a Wagon R if you can find a good one that fits your budget.

It would have been easier to comment on this, had you provided more information about what you're looking for, since mileage and space and not the only criteria. The Wagon R according to me, has a better engine (It feels much better than the Santro to me) and comfort wise, well, it's Wagon R again. I have driven a Wagon R for over a 120 km stretch with three in the rear and none of them complaining, but on the other hand, I find the Santro very bumpy when it comes to the back seat passengers.

More information would make this unbiased, because based on just the two criteria that you've mentioned, Wagon R has the edge.
