I DO. If in india you can't trust Maruti then who else you can. Also You forgot Maruti's punch line => "Count on us" .
I am yet to see customer service in india by any company offering any product (from a pin to big truck). I have had such bad experiences with customer service in our country that Maruti was a big surprise to me.
I wish & hope they continue.....

Laks of people trust maruti and thats why they are the largest car maker in India.

GTO faced many problems with his Merc C, does that mean you cant trust Merc ?.

Of all the cars mentioned in the poll, I own a Palio S10, Owned a Santro and Matiz , have test driven the Wagon R and Alto 1.1.

Palio doesn't have as wide spread a dealer network as MUL and other non-product related issues discussed to death on this forum. Swift has a lot of niggling problems from reports here and in magazines. Also, I am not so sure if I like the Swift's looks. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I hate it and though I haven't been in one, I have friends who say it's a little claustrophobic in the rear. A friend with wife and 2 kids has a Zxi and says only a single guy/girl should buy one.

All said and done, I voted for Palio 1.6. It's the best looking, has the best engine in terms of set up (DOHC, 32 bit ECU, 16 valves etc) and performance, is the best built and is supremely addictive to drive and own.

What I like about Fiat is the passion they have managed to put into what is at best a mere family hatchback. Sadly, they failed miserably to pump in that same passion into their dealers.

just got my swift vdi few days back, its awesome!!!! dont like the petrol as much as the diesel, considering i own a petrol one too. So my vote is obviously for the swift diesel - and as maruti has rightly put it.. DIESEL ROCKS!

Simple, you have enthusiasts on this forum and you just have the ordinary car buying junta outside. So we do know how to distinguish the wheat from the chaff.Unfortunately, the outside world never figured that out.

I would not call outsiders "ordinary car buying junta" , just because they dont buy what you like.

Its Getz Prime 1.3 for me if the budget can stretch to 6 lacs. Swift is too cramped for that money and many others can qualify for <4 lacs shootout. Some models like Palio Sports and Indica are for niche segment. Rest of the models look more of fancy items than seriously meant for the market. Most of them should disappear in another 1-2 years.
