ZEN LX..Some tips pl

we are getting one used 99 Zen LX( seems to be well maintained )..looking for tips for better maintenance & mainly advice for better FE. By the way, is the HEAD LIGHTS in ZEN are bright for highway driving , during night & rainy times . Im raising this because we were forced to change Maruti800 default lights ( 50/60 ?) to 90/100..correct me if im mistaken. TIA.

Shapath,

I guess the best way to maintain an 8 year old Zen is to give it for servicing once every three months at a decent garage - never postpone this. The Zen is a pretty fuel efficient vehicle, so as long as you don't drive with hard acceleration and hard braking, you should get 18 on the highways and 12-14 in the city (depending on traffic conditions).

I had changed my stock headlights for more powerful ones (I think they are 90/100 - not sure) and I feel that it is worth it especially when you are driving in areas where the only illumination is from your headlights.

It's a very dependable car... so enjoy driving it around

Thanks,
Amit.
