Voted for Gi10 Nios
1. Extremely tractable 1.2L Kappa motor makes it so effortless. Can pull from below 40 kmph in 5th with ac on without shudder.
2. Extremely light steering and plush ride quality (at low to medium speeds) is really a blessing during everyday drives.
3. Well put together interior that delivers high on feel good factor. And doesn't rattle like others.
4. Hyundai after sales experience is excellent.
5. Surprisingly efficient 12- 14 kmpl (commutes) and 16- 20 kmpl (open roads) with ac on. I have got as high as 26.5 kmpl when hypermiled to check it's fuel sipping abilities.
6. Extremely value for money product.
7. Best all rounder.

My choice would be tata altroz. Great interiors, one of the best driving dynamics and now also got more powerful engine.
Also, mods update the pros and cons of cars. Like tiago's engine has been in production from 6-7 years and it's not new. Tata altroz got dct transmission so it has option for automatic.
I drove the Ignis AMT , Exter AMT and Swift MT- 2024 recently. I felt that the Ignis looked more VFM for city- only duties, save the fact that it's not been changed over the years in terms of features. Exter AMT also felt nice, but the Ignis felt eager inspite of the TD car being over 50000 km old. I am contemplating amongst these cars, just that I am not considering adding another Hyundai to my collection.
Voted for i20 though I liked the Nios as well.
A couple of days ago, we friends did a trip of 700 Kms (to and fro) to Vijayawada and Chirala beach in a Grand i10 Nios Asta AMT MY23 (Facelift) owned by a friend of mine, who lives in our gated community. His previous car was OG 2013 i10 TC AT (the one before Grand i10 got launched) though he owns other cars (2018 Creta 1.6 D MT and a 2019 Swift DDIS) though he doesn't drive any of these cars due to him being physically handicapped. He felt lots of difference between his old i10 and Nios in terms of engine performance and FE. He felt his previous i10 bit laggy despite being mated to 4 speed TC AT gearbox while at the same time, Nios felt more eager and peppy to drive despite being mated to 5 speed AMT gearbox.
As per him, the Nios returns much better FE when compared to his previous i10. We got the FE of around 19.5 Kmpl during this trip while in city, he gets around 14-15 Kmpl, which I felt decent considering that Hyundai Petrols are known for being thirsty.
The car felt smooth and stable even after doing speeds of 100+ Kmph though felt bit bouncy on broken roads though never felt discomfort while travelling.
And, the performance of AC was excellent, more so that it chilled our bones and it performed well in Andhra's scorching heat, where the outside temperature was 37 degrees celsius. The whole car got cooled within 5 mins or less of turning on the AC.
Though I'd driven the 2012 i10 TC AT owned by my cousin, who bought it used last year and it struggled a bit while climbing on the inclines, where I had to use L mode during this situation and it was thirsty as well.
And, TBH, Hyundai has tuned the AMT gearbox very well.
I loved this car so much that I felt like buying one as a third car/city car at home.
Another friend of mine, who owns an Endeavour, bought a facelifted Nios Sportz in Teal Blue colour, which is the most popular colour choice in Nios, albeit in MT guise and has run 20k Kms in a year though he was initially keen on getting a White coloured Swift ZXI as he owned a 2014 2nd gen Swift ZDI in same colour before until his younger brother insisted him on getting the Nios over Swift.
I somehow felt the overall build quality of Nios better than Swift.
Based on the ownership of my friend's Nios AMT, a guy, who also lives in our gated community, saw his car and asked him each and everything about this car, which made him getting one in Sportz AMT trim as a city car though he has Harrier AT for other purposes.
This car has become the most popular choice among the households of our gated community and most of the Nios I see are Sportz variant donned in Teal Blue colour. This shows how popular the variant and the colour is among the households in our gated community while my friend's is the only Asta variant and that too in rare Fiery Red colour in this gated community while another person, who also lives in same lane as ours, owns a 2020 Nios Sportz AMT in Grey colour and another Sportz AMT was bought in Silver colour, which is the recent one.
Apart from 700 Kms trip we did this week, we also did a short trip of 400 Kms (to and fro) in this very car a couple of weeks ago and never felt discomfort in this car.
Overall, my friend has no regrets in getting this car though he wanted to get a bigger car like i20 or Baleno over the Nios.
If someone is looking for a second car or third car, I'd easily recommend the Nios easily.
