Swift D or Fabia in Feb 08?

Fabia launch date is yet to be announced
The pricing will be higher than Swift/Getz
How much will be the waiting period after launch we do not know
Going by Skoda experience, it will be costly to maintain and also less number of dealerships compare to Hyundai or Maruti

With all these facts I think you should consider between Swift or Getz.

If you keep waiting by the time Fabia is launched you will heard about Punto which is going to have 1.3 MJD engine same as Swift's.....the story continues........

If you need refinement and quality, safety wait for Fabia.

Swift is too common car and it has lot of quality issues. Everyone knows this fact. People are buying this because its Maruti product and very cheap to buy.

Practically thinking Swift does not deserve 5 lac category car.

Fabia on other hand should be much better than Swift. Once its launched we can find more details about it.

Grand Puntoo is really good car as of now.

I think this What Car thread is a bit premature and more speculative in nature. shan_jp wants to buy a car some 4-5 months down the line. That by itself makes this thread a little premature. On top of that talking about Fabia, Grande Punto et al only makes the whole scenario a little too speculative rather than objective. That beats the objective of the What Car section.

This thread has already gone beyond its call IMO. shan_jp, if you are buying a car now then you only have Swift as the option. If you plan to wait till the Fabia launch then do so. You can PM the support team at an appropriate time and we will open this thread once again.
