i understand i am bumping a old thread but i have noticed preference was given to spark over estilo - earlier.
However, in light of new situation

1. Estlio with facelift and k line engine is out
2. Gm is having chapter 11 background.

What is your take now?

1) Take test drive of both the vehicles.
2) Personally I am not comfortable with the central location of instrument cluster.
3) Maruti has an obvious A.S & S. advantage as compared to GM.

If you are comfortable with Estilo, and if you are comfortable with Spark go for it.
The TD will be a very decisive factor.

The only gripe with the Estilo was the engine. Plonking in the K series engine solves the issue. If you are ok with the looks and interiors of Estilo it will be the best.

What Maruti banks on is the k-series engine due to which the mileage is increased and life of the engine is good.

And also i did checkout the new look estilo which is already available for display in the showrooms if you are okay with the new look then it good to go to estilo.

General Motor are supposed to be steardy vehicle (my dad drives an Opel Corsa even i have driven it plenty of times) but when it comes to maintenance General Motor vehicles are pretty expensive when compared to maruti. In the long run Maruti are the best, especially if you are planning to travel a lot (outside of major cities) then maruti would be the best choice.
