If this is going to be a sedan, considering the fact that it is your first sedan, i would suggest a Fiesta 1.4 Petrol/Diesel.
The visibility is amazing, its compact and is very easy to maneuver. It's amazing fun to drive as well and it is not that expensive to maintain.
