Atlast booking a Swift VXI + ABS Edit: Bought Black VDI Now

After toying with the idea of buying used Palio 1.9 D ELX for 2.73 to waiting for Hyundai Pa to finally buying Swift Vxi, took me close to 9 Months. I have completely crazy all these days. Each and every car look better than the other car...team-bhp has almost become my daily routine to readthru anything that is posted new on "what Car". I thank all for answering many of stupid queries patiently

Finally, I am booking RED SWift VXi with ABS in Chnnai with Khivraj, for 4.93 Lakhs. the delivery time is close to 2 Months. i guess he may be delivered even earlier.

I am making a downpayment of Rs.50,000 on Wednesday and balance with SBI on 7 year loan at 11.25%. The EMI wirks out to Rs. 7726.11.

Unfortunately there are no cash discounts. . I mean there is a corporate discount of Rs. 2500/-. But in lieu of this i am getting the following accessories along.

1.Under Chassis Coating - Rust Proof
2.Body Side Moulding "Body Side Moulding (Set of Four) 99000M99515"
3. Bumber Side Moulding "Bumper Moulding Set (set of four) 99000M99508"
4.Number Plate
5.Car Cover "Body Cover 99000M99503-TVK" - Dupnt Make
6.Steering Covers "Steering Wheel Cover 99000M99078-OBL (Black)"
7.Mud Flaps "Mud Flap (Set of Four) 99000M99510"
8.Floor Mat & Dicky Mat "Carpet mat- Boxer 99000M99512"
9.Rear Parcel Tray Rear Parcel Tray
10.Nippon Remote Locking - with Alarm "Security System Vxi 9000M99538"
11.Car Freshner "Perfume Ambi pur kit(After Tobacco)99000M99281-TBK"
12.Reverse Horn + Switch
13.Hot Spot Mirror Hot Spot Mirror 99000M99081
14.Teflon Polish Teflon Coating FUCOT 3600.00 2 Years Warranty
15. Sun Control Film Llumar American (Garware< 3M< Llumar< Vkool.) needs to pay extra as default option is Garware.

He said he shall confirm the teflon coating to me on Wednesday. I forgot to check out the following accesories with him :

16. Aluminium Sport Pedals "Aluminium Pedal Pads 99000M99551"
17. Door Visors Front & rear "Door Visor (Fr) (Set of Two)
990E0-62J34" & "Door Visor (Rr)(Set of Two)990E0-62J35"
18. Digital Clock for Dash Board
19. Center Arm Rest.

I am intending to get the Seat Covers, Reverse Parking Sensors outside. For reverse parking sensors i am intending to go for 4 at rear and 2 in front with LED indicator and alarm.

Now to questions :

I am based out of Chennai, places around chennai wd help a lot.

1. Is deal ok?? considering the fact there is no cash discount for Swift except corporate discount for Swift?
2. How much does Aluminium Sport Pedals & Center Arm Rest costs? how confortable is the arm rest?
3. Where can i get "Fabric" seat covers. I prefer Black.??
4. Where can i get reverse parking sensor done??

Thanks in advance,

Prasanna KV

this is a good deal.and moreover why dont you go for the parking sensors at the dealership and the sports pedal and everything are there at the dealership.do you mean to say that all 19 items free for the discount of 2500.please clarify.

Thats a good deal. For Rs.2500 you are getting so much, then it a very good deal.

Regarding centre arm rest-I feel you might be driving inside city most of the times and occasional trips to nearby places. Then arm rest ins not needed. A arm rest looks too compact on swift. This is my opinion.

As far as the seat covers is concerned, the chennai guys will guide you. Black looks good for a red body.

If options are available, why don't you try for Alloys...It looks super on swift. You may get it for around 25K or cheaper when you exchange your stock tyres with alloys + tubeless.

Hi Ram,
1-13 and 15 are part of deal.
Item no 14shall be confirmed on Wednesday.
I am checking the possibility to include 16, 17 and 18 to this freebies list if he is not offering Teflon coating for free.
Based on feedback i may go in for 19. Centre Arm rest as well.

Hi snaronikar,
I am planning to go for ICE and then for alloys..but definitely not immediately

regards,
Prasanna KV

@ pitchucold - The dealer would actually give you the Teflon coating for free as it costs him lesser (only labour and some material) considering items 16 thru 19 on your list.

I guess your deal is quite good.

Check with sjcherian about his deal. Might help U get a zxi for 30k more.

Atlast Booked a DZIRE VDI :)

After toying with idea of booking Swift VXI, when i was about to book, SBI Guys messed up with loan sanction and a short term onsite made me postpone the decision.

Now being Back in India, after letting couple of dealers fight, the Final MEssage was No Freebies apart from

1. Mud Flaps
2. Dicky Mat
3. Floor Mat
4. REverse Horn
5. Hot Spot Mirror

Or else Sunfilm & Body Cover.

I went to book Swift VDI - Red Colour, was asking my wife to stop me changing any decision in show room. But the moment we entered, my wife fell in love with SX4 - Black, with all accesories loaded. I could resist either until I heard the EMI amount.

So Finally settled for Dezire VDI and Paid the Down Payment, with the following freebies and a waiting period of 4-5 Months (Ram..Is it True????)

I havce asked those guys to bring the demo vehicle on Saturday for a test ride and checking if it fits fine in our parking. (Fingers crossed until then).

In case of any issues i shall be changing my booking into Swift VDI-RED.

I shall keep you guys posted.

Regards,

PRasanna KV

@ Pitchucold - Congrats on your new buy. Every Dealer is quoting 6 months for Dzire ZDI . So most of buyers opting for VDI version. I fear if there is more demand for VDI then even waiting period for Dzire vdi would increase. Btw which color did you book?

Finally (hopefully) Decided on Swift Red VDI

Atlast Swift DZire came home for Test Ride. The Dzire Fitted the Parking exactly. Ride was splendid. Looks are not as bad as it is talked about.

But i have decided to opt for Swift VDI - Red. I hope there wont be anymore changes to the order.

Btw..The Audio infused into Dash is from MAruti and it does sound that great :( .

The Swift waiting period is reduced to 2.5 Months ..while dzire VDI is atleast 5 Months So Eagerly awaiting it now...

I shall consolidate the list of accessories and prices shops are quoting for in the next mail.

Regards,

Prasanna KV

P.S: Mods, please Change the title as "Swift VDI - Red Finally !!"
