The i20 will be launched some where in december 2008 and initially will be exported.
In between hyundai will bring LPG Getz. May be i20 will be sold in india in 1st quarter of 2009.

DSC promised me just the remote locking system (should be 2 ~ 3k) in the market in addition to the usual floor-mats, mud flaps, etc.., and the car will be delivered within 10 days to two weeks.

HMP did not even offer that. My main crib was that HMP said it will take one month, and only the floor mats and flaps for freebies - that inspite of me telling i would be going for a outright purchase. :(

Some one from HMP told me that they do not have the space in the car to fit the ABS (I remember a member posting about this too). So how big is the ABS' control unit? Can someone with ABS post a photo (if possible) please? I just cant get myself to believe they don't have the space - though I have heard that the 1.5 mill is pretty size-y one!

Also, the ABD available in Getz is a front-wheel only ABS - is that true?

Today I am going to finalize and i'll speak with some Hyundai heads and let you know whether there's any plan for GetZ Crdi ABS in near future.

thats exactly the point I've been trying to get at - if the UK guys had extra space on the crdi for abs/ebd and all discs, what happened to that space in india !! I think its just hogwash and they are trying to milk as much as they can from a niche power hungry segment in india

No sight of ABS in GetZ.
Don't go to HMP for Booking the car.
Today i spent 1hr there and even after buying more than 3 cars from them in my family they even not ready to give a single freebies.
Spoke with the Saled Manager HMP chennai.he simply denied freebies and not even know how to speak with prospective customers.I just told him I will book the car today with some other dealer and will never ever refer HMP to anyone and left the place immediately.
Finally i went to DSC Hyundai, got referral from my friend and got a good deal there.
People there are very poilte.luckily they have a Passion Red in transit.
But getting the Fog Lamps is very difficult.
I want the car delivered with all the accessories i mentioned.
so will take some time and once all comes in hand i take my car to home.
Awaiting the day..

Defn No ABS in near future.
asked Hyundai people.Hyundai is not interested in selling GetZ Crdi.
I just asked the HMP sales manager whether do you have any idea to sell this car or just to show the world that they have a Diesel car in this segment.
He didn't answer.even he doesn't have any clue about ABS GetZ Crdi.
So if you planned for GetZ Crdi just go and book the car and change the tyres and ride it carefully.
