Getz 1.1 , i10 discounts?

Hi ,

Do anybody have any idea about discounts offered on i10 magna , getz 1.1?

In Pune

They are telling

i10 - no discount

getz 1.1 - 6 + 7 = 13 k discount. ( loyalty , corporate )

Is there any chance to get more discount than this?

Best way to know if you can get more discounts is bargain with another Hyundai dealer and go back and forth with the pricing each one of them gives you.

Getz 1.1 with discount is almost the same price as the i10, does that make it a better buy?

Bigger car @ same price.

Getz 1.1 has the same engine as in i10 right? 67bhp.

But as far as i know apart from the engine the rest of the package is way ahead
(read Driveability, Suspension, Interiors, etc).
If you are getting both at the same price go for the getz.
What can i say, love the road presence of this car.

Getz has more space, the 1.1 is better (and even fun) to drive, and the interiors are real comfortable too, with a big car feeling.

However, i10 scores on new-car appeal, features, its a sales success compared to the getz which was a slow model, mileage etc. Also, the future of the Getz in india is not too certain either.

Yes. However, Getz 1.1 has much better bottom-end (more so than Santro), while i10 is strong in the mid range (more like WagonR, although much more refined).

Well even after discounts they are not the same

Getz 1.1 is 10k more than i10 magna.

So with magna you get

Rear defogger + wiper + fog lamps + tubless tyres + better milage

over the getz.

But if you drive getz then the overall feel is really good compared to i10 in terms of space and Suspension and road presence.

Yes i20 should come around diwali 2008 time after which the getz brand will have same fate as santo.

But the silver lining is

Once the getz is positioned little below i20 (santo is little below i10), the getz 1.3 will be stopped and the getz 1.1 will be continued with the i10 engine. ( This is what I am hoping ! ).

So back to my question again

What is the max discount on getz 1.1?

Additional questions

1) Can I expect overall minimum milage of 10 kmpl from Getz?

2) How much it will cost to fit

fog lamps , rear wiper for the getz?

Guys,

Recently booked a DEEP OCEAN BLUE i10 Magna Option (sans Sunfroof) without any discounts.Cost on the road was 5.33 L.

Some how i managed to get Body Cover,Teflon coat and basic accessories (mud flaps, floor mats, boot mats) as freebies.

I10 is pretty steep.Somehow i felt the interiors of i10 to be really good after sitting in the all grey Getz Interiors.

No. Santro and Getz may not have same fate.

Santro was selling 12,000+ units a month when the i10 came out. It made absolutely no sense to discontinue Santro. Now with i10 in the market, Santro is playing the cheaper sibling and sales are around 7k per month each. This makes financial sense for Hyundai.

However, Getz was never a popular model. Sales figures havent crossed 1,500 marked on a regular basis, compared to the 7,000 odd figure posted by the Swift. I dont think it would make any financial sense for Hyundai to retain getz once i20 comes out.

Fitting a rear wiper is an expensive affair, and most probably will involve replacing the rear hatch door (as in the case with its sibling Santro).

Yes this also can be true..

So should somebody go for getz 1.1 if they are planning to kep the car for next 3-max 5 years?

I am also looking for buying a new car (probably I10). Typically after what time frame does the dealers start giving the discounts for a new car?
Does the coming budget makes any difference to car prices?
