Query regarding the purchase of palio from other state registration no.

Hi! Friends,
I'm getting a Palio retro model from some guy who's located in Delhi but has the Palio registered from West Bengal. Its his Second hand car, so will be third hand for me provided i go for it.
Would like to know what all formalities i'll have to go through in case I go ahead with this car. Also how much amount would it cost for Re-Registration of the same vehicle in Delhi.

Please provide your inputs.

One more thing i would like to know if anyone knows good mechanic in Delhi who can have a look at car and tell if its good deal.

Regards

i would always prefer to buy a car registered in the same state as far as security is concerned.if the model you specified was not available in the state or like if it was the last one in this world then i wouldnt mind going for an other state regn vehicle.if it is possible i would sugest you refrain from the same.and more over you would have to re regd the car and pay the road tax in delhi for the smooth usage of the car and to make eits operation in delhi legal.

If the car is less than 15 months old.. you will have to pay entry tax before you can pay the road tax and get it registered.

My suggestion: Look out for a car registered in Delhi.

Hmm Fine but how much does it comes to cost for 1.4 lack second hand palio in term of Road Tax. The road tax will be on 1.4 lack or the original price of the car which was first purchased.?

The tax is levied on the value of the car after depriciation(i think)
