i10 for quality and power.

It is no way costlier and are quite comparable with wagon r and santro. Then there is GM assurance of Rs 12999 max maintenance exp in 3 years. Moreover one will have to shelve around 60 k more for i10 .

Which color did you book? Saw a red one with kit. Looked bloody good.

60k when you compare which versions?

Hi JK Das,
Mine is red colour. Difference of 60K between the spark LS (Feb discounted price) i10 Era. I went for PS model as I just wanted AC and PS.
Spark is a car which makes driving a fun. You want to drive more and more. The accelerator is very linear , engine so smooth that u get the pleasure of driving.

Go for the i10. GM isn't yet sure on the Spark's pricing strategy and chances are that you might lose on resale.

I just drove a Spark -- It's a very smooth drive, and while idling, I had to put my ear to the bonnet to know whether the engine was still running. Interiors are moderate - not as fancy as i10. Hope the GM people will soon have more Service Centres all over the country.

add in the killer price. 3.84 ex showroom delhi the abs driver airbag alloys(?) version. i10 doesnt come close.

given your running, the money saved will pay for the next three years' running

It's your call in the end and you will be happy with whichever you buy as both are good cars. I have been a Spark owner for 3 months now and most of the good points about it have already been mentioned in the previous posts. So without repeating them, let me just cut it short and let you know that I am super happy with my Spark. And for the deal that I got it in (~3.5L for LS model), I am more than satisfied with what I got.

Another satisfied Spark owner... count me in along with Devnull.. @ Splitsecond I have done quite a few highway runs. Bangalore to Madras and back; Bangalore to Erode and back; and so on. Cruised at 120kmph with full loads..no vibration just have to press the pedal a little further to overtake.. a joy to drive.. I have also driven the Xeta on highway runs.. Spark rocks!
Mileage - Dont know about I10, I get 12 in Blore city and 16 on the highway (avg. speed 80kmph). My cousins own Swift, Alto etc and no major difference.

I am driving spark LT from more than 6 months and i can say that you can do 100kmph on highways comfortably. It is indeed a small car but handles brilliantly at such speeds. My spark has done 6k kms and i get over 15 kmpl on highways without AC in speeds of over 100. Make sure you get apollo acelere tires as i got mrf zvts

I would say go for the Spark for Highway driving. It is pretty sturdy.
Furthermore, i would like to add that i think most people have said that i10 is a little bumpy (It is the Santro's successor) so id say Spark scores here as well.
The prices as of now are pretty good too.

The only downside i can think of is the fluctuating prices of the Spark. But if you intend to keep the car for a long term or more than 3-5 yrs, then i guess its not much of a problem.

i10 scores on the interiors though.

If you buy alloys from GM then it would be some where around 15K.
Outside you have lot of options and you will get in the range of 12 to 15K.
If you upgrade tires to say Michelin XM1 165/65 R13 then add 2250 per tire.
I think upgrading tires is really required compared to alloys for better stability on our highways.

My spark has wheel covers provided by GM. Car looks good with wheel covers.

Off topic: Why did you sell your Swift?
If you are planning to buy spark then you would feel spark as a very small car anyday compared to swift.
