Ideal Purchase Period ?

I am planning to buy a swift ZXi (P) in about 2 mnths.

Is it ideal to but a vehicle in the monsoon period or should I wait
and buy it in October/Diwali ?

I've heard that as the sales are low during monsoons u get pretty good deals.Is it true and worth buying ?

well if you dont mind the lower resale you will get while selling the car yes you do get a lot of freebies and discounts in the months of OCT, NOV, DEC.

because the cars will loose out the initial 8-10 months of the year, even if bought in dec of say 2007 its called as dec 2007 model and will likely have the depreciation, the buyer might not pay good amount even if you bought it from the dealer in jan 2008, just because of the labeling of the month and year of manufacturing. if you are fine with this factor then do go ahead and buy them at that time.

if you want better resale then march, apr would be the best time!, because you get the jan and feb manufactured vehicles of that year.
