sir, because you stay at the capital of india.
more importance is given to metros than rest of the places.

most sensible dealers will give you worst case scenario waiting times. hence the atrocious numbers like 1 year. most of these cars will be delivered before the period they say.

yes, agreed the waiting periods, even then are ridiculous, but demand exists, and maruti working flat out is not enough to supply it.

IMO, the car is, currently, worth the wait.
you could put down small amounts as booking fee at various dealers and then play them against each other. worked like a charm for me

Thank you all for your inputs
Talked to many dealers:

I have booked a Swift VXI

Usage:600-800

Waiting Period: 1-1.5 Month
Color: White

Upgrade: Will get 15" and 205/55 Yokohoma S Series or something?

Any suggestions on the tyre upgrade or any other mods?

Congrats Inder_s1. White Swifts look HOTT! Did you get any freebies?
IIRC, the correct 15" upsize for the Swift is 195/60/15. You can get Yokohama ES100/S Drives. You could also looks at BFGs.
There are lots of mods available. ICE, performance, cosmetics. What do YOU want?

Ok just checked, it's 7 months for the VDI in most places in BLR, and 4-5 for the LDI. You'd better pray if you want ABS with your car.

Actually, a little less than 2 weeks, and you waited because you kept changing your mind.

Hi Guys,

I have a Q & a favor to ask you all.. yup on a MONDAY

Q : Today I am going to the Mandovi Dealer on Lavelle road for giving the required documents to Axis Bank guy in the dealership. What all should I check? He said I can go for 2 yrs EMI option and for that 15.5% is the std interest rate.?? Please advise.

Favor:
Can any of you members (TBHPians - Bangalore) come to the dealer by 4:30PM today and help me out if possible ? I know this sounds silly but who better than the TBHPians owning/ knowledgeable abt cars ..!!

Cheers
