Wagon R or V2 (petrol)

hey experts

want ur views

M plannin for a Wagon R or V2 (petrol) second hand .. for a day-day use car

Will be fitting LPG in it

Me more inclined towards the V2 coz ::

-spacious
-good build quality

( both the above reasons keeping in mind LPG kit goin in the boot)

Want ur views on it guys.. shoot!!

Go for the V2 if you are going to use it. you can make it a stunner with a black paint job and a set of alloys. Makes sense for me.

Wagon-r is great too but some how i cant relate to it. the v2 in black if you would ask me.

Go for the Tata provided it is well kept.
If there is any suspicion walk away as being cheap, people do not tend to take good care of them and WagonR is more reliable.

There were hardly any V2 petrols sold in the market, so searching for it won't get you much choice. On the other hand.. u'll get a wide variety of WagonRs to choose from, so u can probably choose a better car!

Well for some people who have replied here, do see that he is going to fit an LPG kit so it will run on Gas ok
I would seriously suggest you go for the Indica. More Space, Better Comfort, Bigger Boot than the Wagon R. Dont worry about refinement as the newer Indicas really very good!

to start wid... thanx a lot ppl for ur suggestions... really appreciate it

As a car by itself, i wud defntly like the WagonR., BUT..

the main reason for me to ask this is that m thinking of an LPG

Fitting the cylinder in the wagon has 2 prominent probs:

the boot is flat n small hence cylinder will stand out open, also making a prob for the spare below it

also, since the boot lid is a flat one, it has less tensile strength in event of even a minor hit at the back

These two problems are covered in the V2 coz:

thr is a dip kinda in the boot, so the cylinder can be managed (also space is not an issue)

Also, the V2 has a higher gauge steel , and the design is curved, givin it more strength in case of a rear hit, n the dist b/w the bumper start and the cylinder inside is quite wide.. hence giving more safety

As a car, defntly not as refined as the WagonR but decent enuf (have driven a cpla petrol V2s) ,and the wagon is pretty flimsy in build.

Also the V2 is more spacious (as stratos mentioned)

Keepin these points in mind.. wht do u guys suggest

N i just need a point A to Point b car, coz its a second car for utility purposes only (have a 1.5city as car no 1)

so wht say?

Well since you won't be sticking to petrol, then you could buy the V2. But if you change your mind about converting to LPG, then get a WagonR.

Well it again depends, how much you wish to drive around?... if you'll use it 2500+ km/month... I would again say wagonR on the reliability front.
MPFI cars are all about electronics, and i somehow can't trust TATA's electronics as of now.

BTW you are right Indica's boot is better suited for a Cylinder, although I must add that a WagonR's boot is not at all smaller than indica's!!

finally its your call!.. I just think it might not be easy to find a well maintained Indica V2 "Petrol"

For the reasons already mentioned...the indica is the way to go.
