Thanks macha, got my fingers crossed.

Congrats ByDesign! The thread all throughout read like a Hitchcockian thriller. The suspense had been unbearable! Very entertaining nevertheless.

Yes, it is the SDE. Front power windows, central locking, fog lamps and AC. Please check for photos in page 2 of this thread. The fog lamps and power windows are clearly visible.

Thanks tortoiseNhare! Still won't call this complete until I hear from the showroom that it's been registered!

ByDesign, where does your dilemma stand now? Have you booked the SDE? I hope all there are no hassles with registrering a BS3 and you got your loan thing fine.

Just waiting for the registration to come through successfully. I'm doing a 100% down payment. No loan. I'll consider the dilemma done with once I get the registration confirmed! I've got a basic accessories kit thrown in as well, gear cover, floor mats, etc. etc. Will keep you updated

The interior pictures are of Indica Vista and not a Palio because
  1. Palio does not have a central console
  2. Palio does not carry Tata logo on the steering wheel.

Superb deduction Watson. If you had any idea what this thread was about, you wouldn't have posted that. Long long ago, once upon a time, I couldn't decide between the Palio, the vista limited edition, and the punto. I went for a test drive of all three, and posted pictures of the Palio and the Vista. The pics are posted in one post together. Look again, there's palio pics in there too.

My PDI has been fixed for this evening. I'll be going equipped with the T-BHP PDI checklist and hopefully everything will go ok. Then comes final payment, and delivery to follow!

Ooh lalala.. Wonderful news. Great to see your affection towards Palio and your determination.

Now, uncross your fingers and do an extensive PDI - since the car was standstill for a quite sometime.
Are you taking someone else with you? Preferably a TBHP member around?

Just my driver :( I don't know any T-BHP member to ask like that. I'll manage this myself I think.

Updating ASAP as sir requested!

Full amount paid, I checked the car top to bottom, found a few minor problems (will attach photos later). Small scratch on the bumper, and extremely small misalignment on one side of the bumper. Both will be fixed. Registration will be done in the morning tomorrow.

Apparently, the registration amount is not based on the new reduced ex showroom price of the palio (i.e. dhamaka offer) but on the old ex showroom price. So instead of 19k as quoted initially, I'm being asked to produce 22k. But then again I'm not crying for 3k more. Delivery has been scheduled asap. I asked for sunday, but they said monday or maybe tuesday. Getting closer and closer to D-day people!!

Good! Am not sure if you have mentioned - how is the gearshift?
I am specific because some of the Palio Stiles made in 2008 had problems with the clutch rod - including my SDX!!
