Hi,

Just checked with a Car Bazaar guy in Chandigarh 2 months ago. He was asking Rs 3,25,000 for Palio 1.2 sports Dec 2004. So i think 3 lacs will be enough for 1 year old car. But dunno coz i was offered this 2 months back when i disposed my zen off..

Thanx Anshuman and abhib
This guy is quoting 3.5 slightly negotiable, should be able to pick it up at 3.3 or 3.25 i guess , just wanted to confirm whether that was a fair price.

BTW could anyone who knows bangalore rates gimme an input.
I guess bangalore prices would be abt 20 % higher than delhi ones right ? so 3.2 - 3.3 seem to be in the ball park.

for a one yr. old car 3.25 is a bargain but do make sure why the owner is selling it so early also ask the service history of car

What did it cost the owner when he purchased it? Lets say 4.5L (I am sure it costed more). So at 3.25L he is discounting a massive 1.25L on the car. That comes to a massive 30%. That much depreciation in just in one year (Normal is 15% for 1st year and 10% thereafter)?!! Be sure to double check what you are getting into buddy before you close the deal.

Guy's how do i check the service history of the car ?
Will the service station provide such information to everyone who walks in ?
Or do i have to get it through the owner ?

take the service book and go to the dealer where it was serviced most of the times with the the car and check out whether it was genuine.
