Re: VW Vento: Service Experiences (every 15k km) across dealerships

"I will also try to get it from VW, thanks for the lead. Will share here if I do manage to get it."

Well, the charts were pasted on the service center walls. I did not get copies though!

Re: VW Vento: Service Experiences (every 15k km) across dealerships

Friends,
I'm getting this particular warning on my Vento, spanner symbol is being displayed, what would be the problem.

Second problem that I am facing in my Vento is that every week I have to add coolent. I tried to find out if there is any leakage, but could not, what would be the problem?

The spanner symbol will be impending service reminder.
The drop in coolant every week is normal. I have never had to topup my coolant in my 14 month old TDI, get it checked.

Pretty impressed this time..

And it happened last wednesday...
A Merc A class was driving ahead of me near Mayo hall. Signal turned red and he jumped the signal and went ahead, but could not cross the junction. I managed to stop. Then he backed up and stopped right in front of me. But, when signal turned green, it was too late when he realized he had forgotten shift from reverse Checked for damages, thought only the license plate was broken. Later at the office, I found that the LHS head light assembly was also broken.

Called up palace cross VW. SA confirmed the part was available, He asked me to drop by anytime. (no VW appointments). I was there by 3:30 same day. I was prepared to leave the car for a few days. But SA asked me to wait for an hour and I can take the car back. by 5, damage was assessed, all the broken parts replaced (they had all the parts including some trivial clips) and car delivered.

That's pretty impressive.. Biggest change! staff showed enthusiasm to solve the problem.

Re: VW Vento: Service Experiences (every 15k km) across dealerships

I visited VW Mysore for first annual service of my Vento TSI over last weekend. I am extremely happy with their service and even more happier with the final bill which came

As usual, I didn't opt for wheel alignment and balancing, AC disinfectant.

Re: VW Vento: Service Experiences (every 15k km) across dealerships

Friends,
My 1 year+2 months old Vento tdi dsg has completed 24,000 kms.
AFAIK the second service is scheduled at 30,000 kms. Strangely i am getting a Inspection warning every time i start my car, it stays for sometime and then its gone. Recently i did a 5000 km road trip (Pune-Bhutan-Pune) all the while after crossing 20,000 kms the warning was displayed.
Can anyone please explain what could be the problem?

You didn't mention that you actually did get the first service done (1 year/15k kms). I am assuming you got it done. If you did, then my guess is that the technician probably forgot to reset the Inspection reminder.

My bad, yes i did get my car serviced at 15k kms. If i am not wrong this warning started showing up after 22.5k kms (and not 20,000 kms as mentioned in my original post) i.e. after 7.5k kms after the 15k kms.

Then it is for 6month/7.5k inspection. I don't think it is mandatory though.

Volkswagen & Skoda customercare - Attitudinal change

I have a Skoda Rapid and vento TSI and recently did servicing of Skoda and when the car was delivered I was given a complimentary car care kit. I asked him if everyone was given. He said no, though I don’t believe him. I also received calls from the call centre enquiring about the service quality.

Then in another instance, when I showed the Volkswagen SA broken AC vent, he said the set costs 4K approx as all vents come as a set. I casually told him that I was a Team-bhp member and thereafter he asked me to wait in the customer lounge and brought back the vehicle a while later fitted with new AC vents. No charge.

So, what’s happening, is it just me or are others also experiencing similar friendly and positive treatment from this group of late.

Looks like your car has been detuned as part of the emission scandal corrections? Thats when they were handing out the complimentary car care kits recently.

Hope you were informed of it.

Re: Volkswagen & Skoda customercare - Attitudinal change

The service was done late October 2017. Post the service I did get a call from Skoda customer care asking me to bring the car for this job. However on enquiring the reasons, I was told it was not necessary. I don’t see any change in it’s behaviour and by the way it’s a oct 2014 model 1.6tdi.

I will call the SA and enquire. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hi, what were the symptoms which led to the replacement of the link rods?
