Careful...

Even I have personally faced this problem many times what others like shyamhegde & murugaveln faced. Many petrol pumps are playing this game now. We have to be careful with these guys or go to some reliable pumps like Shell, Reliance....

Dont look at the "Rupees" counter look at the fuel disbursed counter.

If the meter jumps to 200 (thats what it does), the ltr counter in the meter will show some vague figure like 0.01 0.02 etc. You can show them that and get the fuel filled again with no payment.

And dont forget to lodge an online complaint with your agncy i.e. IOC, IBP etc. Thats a must and not just walking away to another one.

Well today i got a full tank done at an IBP (factory ) outlet, as you people suggested i was looking keen at both counters(liters and rupees); seems like intially rupees zipped faster than litres counter- by the time it was some thing like 2.x ltrs , rupees counter crossed 200 ,but gradually they both caught up with each other. Finally it was Rs.769.90 for 15.78ltrs at 48.79 per ltr. Doing some maths the quantity is genuine i feel.
Probably company owned bunks don't cheat .

AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

You would be better off going to the pump opposite BSK bus terminus.
