Just thought of starting a thread on best places to look for accessories, to get your car souped up and to touch up minor/major scratches that is part of car life in Pune. Naturally, this thread has be restricted to the city where you reside or drive mostly in. I am starting it for Pune city.

Let's gather information based on your personal experience. I have so far used/approached following dealers:I never came across any workshop or paintshop, since I use only Fiat authorized dealer's service. But, if you guys know, please share the information. (I am especially pissed off with ever growing scratches on my car, which appear out of nowhere, so need a good paintshop to take care it).

P.S.: Mods, is it alright to share such information? I hope, it will not treated as solicitation for any particular accessories shop. Can we share phone numbers, or should that be on PM?

There are many paintshops which are extremely good..
The best one that comes recommended is Davis on Nagar road.. He can match any paint..
Tune Up Plus.. In Baner ahead of Pan Card Clubs.. Autho Maruti Workshop but does a lot of other cars.. Paint finish excellent..
Both use Dupont/Standox..
Cheers

Any recommendations for getting work done on a Honda City in Pune besides the Deccan Honda dealership? BTW, is it worth investing in an extended warranty? My Honda is now just over 3 years old.

here we go

1.for flee flow exhaust i recomend suhil who has done a really nice job for my palio he is really profesional and do a decent job .
his garage is near hadabsar and here is his number: 9822067320
2.for ice install and seat cover as my friend said bafna car is pretty good i got my ice instal by him.

Hi folks,

Needed some info on some shops from where I can buy accessories like:

1. Seat Cover
2. Steering Cover
3. Security System (Autocop or Xenos)
4. Wheel caps
5. Cell phone charger

My dealer, Sanjay Hyundai, charges over the roof for accessories and other stuff. E.g. I wanted to replace my tyres with Tubeless Michellin, he asked 3500 for that - went directly to N Mehta and that thing was done for just 2000 bucks!

Please suggest some shops in Pune where one can get good and genuine stuff at reasonable prices.

There are quite a few on JM road like Modern Car accessories, Bhandari accessories and Bafna car on Ghule Road. And if you are looking for even cheaper rates, you may try your luck at the shops in Nana Peth or near Quarter Gate.

Go to Bafna Car accessories...

Hi folks,

1. Seat Cover = if u looking for customised ones, try at coaching shop (sorry cant remember the name.....it contains some 'HOOD') just adjacent to Bhandari Auto on J M Road.
if u looking for off-the-shelves, try Bhandari, Bafna, Modern, Poona motors(East street)
2. Steering Cover = same as above.
3. Security System (Autocop or Xenos) = Bafna/Bhandari/Poona/Sai(Near McD J M Road)
4. Wheel caps = u get to see good variety in nana peth, rasta peth shops. also if u need oringinal ones, try asking Dhanesh in Bafna Motors or Rajesh in Bhandari Auto. sometimes they keep the oringinals when replaced with mags for other customers)
5. Cell phone charger = try shops in sagar plaza on F.C Road for cheap rates

Just to summarise (no publicity intended for anyone pl) ::)

1) Good paint shops/booths: Davis (Talera Ford workshop in Wagholi) as rightly said by Evo. Also therez one good sardarji in Katraj ghat. Babloo (on ground opp to E-Sqaure) for small touch-ups

2) Tyres: Darshan (Kothrudh, Deccan) Prabhat (Opp. PMC), Kiran Bafna (Tilak Road), Unitread (East street)

3) Wheel alignment balancing: Darshan (Kothrudh), Wings (Karishma society, kothrudh), Unitread (Camp)

4) Alloys: wholeseller Rahul on F C Road (adj to Hotel Sheetal, just behind the petrol bunk) Darshan Tyres

5)Tinting: Poona motors (Llumar authorised, i guess), Bafna, Bhandari, Modern, Deccan wheels ( University road, near Modi Baug)

6) Used car dealers (Indian cars): Kiran Motors (Kothrud), Shreeram (LBS road, Automartindia (paud rd, satara rd, sinhagad rd), Raj motors(paud rd), the CAR ( not sure abt the name....its at Nilayam corner), and many many more in nana peth, hadapsar

7) Used car dealers (phoren):cant disclose names here....can PM me;)

I need Dent/Paint shop for my NHC.

Deccan Honda is robbing me big time...

Does anyone know if any shop that uses vaccum/magnetic machines to bring the dented part back into shape? I am afraid all small shops are using mere hammers.

Please share urgently if you know.
The sumo and cab drivers have an obsession for my car and they keep brushing me (even when I am parked). And I am frustrated now...

anand,

just have a look at MCP Car Care on Paud road....its just near the Kachra depot and Opp. to some Grace hotel....

i doubt whether they use machinery...but have seen many higher end cars like accord, civic, ohcs there for denting/painting issues. if its just minor scrathches then its OK otherwise strict no no since they does not even have paintbooth.

Thanks for the inputs.
Will check out MCP.
There are 2 Maruti service cennters in Aundh. They quoted Rs.1800 and Rs.2600 respectively.

What is a good place in Pune to get door noises fixed TASS guys are no good at this.

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in/aound Kayani Nagar?

I need to get an old Maruti Esteem serviced. Just the basics and some minor mechanical work e.g. oil and filter change and basic tune-up. I don't want to go to an A.S.S as the car is too old and doesn't need expensive dealership prices.

Thanks

I can vouch for Tune Up Plus now.. Just got my Baleno back last week after getting the numerous dents and gashes fixed at Tune Up Plus. The paint finish is impeccable.
