Q re: Fiat service in B'lore

Hey team,

First of all I thank the moderator for allowing me to join the group. My
heartfelt gratitude to him/her for providing me an opportunity to clarify
brush up, clean up, add up my database with info on automobiles.

Second, it's heartening to see so many FIAT patrons around even after
the debacle of FIAT company in India. World is not as harsh after all

So, here I am requesting people to share their experiences.

I have almost decided to go buy PetraD after a lot of deliberation, sifting
through messages posted on team-bhp, jotting down my requirements,
etc.etc. Haven't booked yet, but planning to by end of June.

However, the question still remains about FIAT's (or Tata's, now) ***.
Can people, in and around Bangalore, share their experiences about getting
their Fiat vehicles serviced at Concorde, Prerana, Manipal motors ? Are
there any problems getting spare parts? Do these service centres
discriminate between Tata and Fiat vehicles?

TIA and have a nice weekend!

Hi Abut. welcome to TBHP.

Are you planning for a new or used Petra D? Because Petra (Petrol & Dsl) and Dsl Palio are not sold by Tata dealers. I heard that Bangalore currently doesn't have any authorized Fiat dealer after Sundaram closed the Fiat shop.

What is also being heard is that the Fiat dealer from Hubli is going to set up Fiat dealership here at Bangalore. Not sure on the authenticity of this news though.

I am planning to buy Petra D (new) from Hubli dealer, and use it in Bangalore. So, wanted to find out if there are any users, new or old, who have had experience in getting their cars serviced in Bangalore from Tata motors. Concorde guys seem to be excited on the outset, to welcome Fiat users, but not sure what their actions are !

Thank you for your responses.

Are you sure about that? I've seen a Fiat Adventure in Manipal Motors, Sankey Road. I guess they do sell Fiat's. Not sure about the Diesel variants though.

That's right. Tata motors are selling Fiat 1.2, 1.6 sport and adventure and no
diesel versions. But are they servicing Fiat diesels? If yes, any good/bad experiences ?

Yes Tata is servicing all Fiat vehicles. Just yesterday I had been to Concorde motors and saw one Petra D being serviced there.
And recently I did the free check up (which they had offered for all Fiat vehicles) for my Petra (petrol) at concorde and am quite happy with the way they have done everything.

Prerana Motors hava also started servicing Fiat( all types) at there OldMadras Service centre. In April, I got my petra's petrol third free service done there.

Sivadas,
Does Concrode have a pick and drop facility for fiats?

No They said they don't do it currently. But can do it if Fiat ask them to .

Thank you sivadas and greatDrive for sharing the info.

Slowly but surely Fiat cars seem to be finding their due. Good to see some
positives atlast.

Pick up and drop facility

Sundaram is giving pickup and drop facility. i guess ther charge for the same.

Contact 080 23115000 for scheduling the service and pickup facility. Now they need at least 1 week advance booking for the pickup facility.

Javali Motors, Hubli mentioned about starting a service centre in Bangalore. Not sure he's started yet. Once operational, they are planning to provide limited support round the clock. Does that sound interesting or what!

Stay tuned for more info...

Once I asked them, but they said yes they provide it, but you have to pay 300Rs because the company hires the drivers. basically these drivers are employees only, who picks the vehicle to go to there office.. and drops at customer place when they are returning from work..

Rs. 300 is too much, Sundaram used to charge Rs.150 for this facility.

abut_16,

The Prerana service center in Adugodi states that the new Fiat service station after the TATA-Fiat alliance is on Old Madras Road. And that current TATA service stations will not service Fiar cars. So it looks like while TATA will sell Fiats, Fiat still has responsibility for servicing.
