Default Metro Ford (Bangalore) ties up with 3M: Spot painting at reduced cost

While getting my car serviced at Metro Ford Bangalore I saw this huge poster there.

Its some kind of sport smart painting along with 3m? The Painting rates seem very reasonable. Rs 1900 for a door and Rs1750 for a bumper?

Has anyone tried this before?

If the results are same in both cases then i think it is a brilliant initiative. Especially in Bumpers and lower portion of the car where your car gets nicked quiet often. Also, it will help Ford to shrug off the 'costly to maintain' tag. God knows they need some positive publicity after the Ecosport delivery fiascos and price hikes.

Europe 3M website explains the step by step process. Seems like it is for a small area at a time.

Has anybody come across this being offered by the 3M car care center? I have a scratch on my car that is too small to repaint the entire door and large enough to irritate me.

In most of the cases that I have seen, it's a very small, but deep scratch or a couple of scratches which prompt us to go for paint jobs. And in all those case, we won't require to paint the entire bumper. I would rather go with com-paints for any spot painting. After seeing the below video, it looks like very simple and easy.
