Suhas, your perseverance paid off. Hats off to you. Most people would have just let it pass, rather than fight the dealer. This is exactly what made the dealer do it in the first place.

I wonder what happened to the honest technician / engineer. I wonder whether he got fired.

Is this due to this case or other cases were also registered?

Wondering if this is the action taken by Skoda, will it set an example for other dealers to stay in line.

Man, hats off to your perseverance! Such unscrupulous dealers need to be filtered down and shut. It is great news that Vinayak has ceased to be an authorized dealer.
I've personally known people who have been delivered cars with parts changed by this dealer due to mishaps in transit and the dealer has done the same without their knowledge. It is only later that they've realised it, but haven't had the time or energy to sue the dealer for such malpractices. Yours is a real case study to understand the malpractices in the industry and a lot to learn from you! All the best with your new ride!

Just for the record, the Vinayaka Skoda showroom has 2 white Rapids as display car as of Wednesday. Not sure what will be the fate of these cars.
