Kawasaki learned it the hard way; Isuzu will too.
The proud owner with his V-Cross . I guess Isuzu stepped in and made this happen - good job, guys! Just wish it was sooner.

Good to know that. Still as a lawyer I feel the immense mental harassment needs to be compensated. Surely if pardoned without a pinch, the manufacturer will beleive they have a license to trouble people and settle only after considerable pressure in the future too.
Hope no undertaking regarding no litigation has been obtained by Isuzu. Anyway, an undertaking not to exercise a legal right is NOT binding.

Its good to see that the car has been finally delivered. Congratulations to the owner. But what about the Interest on the amount which the ISUZU Dealer enjoyed without delivering the vehicle, the legal expenses incurred and the mental harassment suffered. Has these also been compensated or ISUZU has washed its hands by just delivering the vehicle. If ISUZU had acted at the first instance itself then the customer would not have had to suffer so much and it would have added a feather in ISUZU's cap.

Re: Paid 15 lakhs for an Isuzu, but dealer shuts down. EDIT: Owner finally gets his V-Cross

There has been discussions on other forums that the vehicle has been handed over solely by the new Isuzu dealer and that the company hasn't done anything.

If that is the case, I am still irate with the company. Hope the owner continues the legal battle and the company learns it the hard way.

Do you mean, he's paid for it again? If not, which dealer will give away a brand new vehicle to a customer who hasn't paid them for it.

What is being discussed is just not possible unless, a) the customer paid for it in full, again, or b) Isuzu sent across the car to the new dealer to be handed over.

Congratulations to the owner!!! The car is definitely one of the better-looking trucks available in India. Good to hear that Isuzu got their act together!

Really don't know about the deal. Was following a discussion about this on 'automotiveindia'. Thought of sharing what was being underlined there, just for adding information on this thread, nothing else.

As far as I know the truck has been given by JMD Isuzu dealer out of his own pocket. He is the new dealer for Isuzu in Pune. Some accessories such as alloys with new tires, front grill wrap etc has been given by the dealer as a good will gesture. Also it is the new facelift model which is more expensive than the outgoing model and has accessories like music system, side steps, rear camera as standard now.

JMD has just started the dealership there and didn't want to start by carrying the baggage from the wrong doings of the previous dealer. (whose dealership stands cancelled)

There must be some adjustments with the outgoing dealership, perhaps some old workshop equipment and or spares or even unsold inventories.

Glad that this matter is sorted finally.

Re: Paid 15 lakhs for an Isuzu, but dealer shuts down. EDIT: Owner finally gets his V-Cross

Funny how moneycontrol says this when this thread was created on 25-Dec,

Quote:
Moneycontrol had first reported the matter on December 28th after reviewing the case and the documents shared by Tapaswi.
First off, pretty surprising that a website such as moneycontrol (with limited relevance to such news) has shown such interest in this case.

Second and very importantly, it is extremely disheartening that Isuzu continues to be indifferent to this case.

Quote:
Curiously, Vazirani said that there was no communication from the company in this regard and he has provided the vehicle of his own accord. Though, he added that he has requested the company and Viiraaj Isuzu to make a reimbursement.
While it is noble of JMD to provide the car, Isuzu's attitude is downright terrible and unbecoming of a global brand. It will only be fitting that this attitude and arrogance comes back to haunt them generously.

Re: Paid 15 lakhs for an Isuzu, but dealer shuts down. EDIT: Owner finally gets his V-Cross

Have been following this thread with some interest. It has left me baffled. One 'authorised dealer' ( now ex ) runs away with 15 lakhs plus of a customer without providing a vehicle. Then the manufacturer washes its hands off the deal. Now the new dealer, out of goodwill, provides a not-so-cheap car out of his own pocket! There is something not disclosed here.

Re: Paid 15 lakhs for an Isuzu, but dealer shuts down. EDIT: Owner finally gets his V-Cross

I found this thread when i was looking for other wrong-doings of this group of car dealerships.

Sai Sakshi was bought over by the toyota dealer from Indore (not a dealer anymore apparently) and borrowed loads of money from people. Stopped paying them back and bought dealerships all over maharashtra.

He has still not paid back people.

People should be extremely careful while dealing with any company with any association with Sai Sakshi or any other company owned by this Indore based gentleman.

It is good to know that the car was delivered by the new dealer in Pune. It surely must has been Isuzu's intervention after the attention that this story caught. But the fact that they washed their hands off it initially is a shocker!!

Re: Paid 15 lakhs for an Isuzu, but dealer shuts down. EDIT: Owner finally gets his V-Cross

First of all, congratulations to the owner.

As someone rightly pointed out, the old dealer deserves to be punished. I can't imagine the mental situation of the customer who paid 15 Lakhs yet didn't got his vehicle and on top of that, no body is ready to take responsibility.
