Hi, Sorry for not getting back to you guys earlier. Well on making the payment of initial booking amount of 25K, I was provided with the VIN number (just the 17 digits, learnt that the last two alphabets are not provided by factory and the dealer takes a note of it once it reaches its yard). With VIN number in hand, and SBI bank loan sanction letter, I made the balance down payment.
The situation at the moment, Trident had worked out a deal for me by providing some discount on the Hyundai Assure insurance package. Part of discount is from the dealer margin and other from the NCB of my previous car policy (~35% NCB). Trident are now asking me to produce NCB certificate. In order to obtain the certificate, I contacted Honda Assure personnel (my previous policy) and they can issue me the NCB certificate on producing a valid transfer document. Since RC will take time, they are fine with Form 29/30 however the same needs to be endorsed by RTO. The buyer of my previous car, has approached an agent to get the transfer done. As it appears I may not get any acknowledgment from RTO since an "Agent" is involved. The agent have promised to buyer of my previous car that RC will be transferred in his name within 18 days. This involves transfer outside Jurisdiction (i.e. Indiranagar to Yelhanka RTO).
I'm actually in a fix here, since the car is ready, allocated and waiting to get registered in the yard, however insurance matter needs to be sorted out.
The other option is I pay the entire NCB amount and later get it reimbursed which I'm not buying from the dealer.
Any thoughts guys how to proceed with this situation?
