My Experience with B.U. Bhandari - TATA-FIAT Dealer

Guys as you know from my thread here - Problem I was having lot of problems with my Palio due to negligence on my part and rough usage. I was quite new to Indian cars and their maintenance and there were lots of fake people around to give advice and screw my car even more. Finally thanks to team-bhp I met a bunch of guys who pointed me in the right direction and that really helped. Basically I wanted to get a complete overhaul done because my suspension was screwed, the clutch was hard, the steering was jammed, and many other problems with my car. I tried a local garage inspite of warnings from friends and got jacked very professionally. Finally I decided to go the authorized dealership way and got in touch with TURBOSAM. He checked my car up thoroughly and gave an idea on what needed to be fixed. The approximate estimate for repairs was about Rs. 20,000/-.

I left my car with B.U.Bhandari workshop and works manager Amol told me that all parts were in stock and the car will be ready in 3 days. The following work was done:

Clutch overhaul
Front suspension replacement.
Lower arm replacement
Set timing
Fix LHS wiper
Replace rear brake shoe
Replace rear brake cylinder
Clean throttle body
Clean injectors
Alignment due to suspension replacement

Here is a breakup of the costs:

The service standards B.U. Bhandari follows is very nice and highly commendable. While taking delivery of my car I spotted Etchemkay's car at the dealership and they were handling it very nicely. See this:

Here is my car:

Now I will always choose authorized FIAT service over local garages for any work. I am blown with the quality of work and the refinement in my engine. The car feels brand new. The pickup has improved. All the rattles are gone. The car feels fresh out of the factory.

MF was with me while taking delivery because he wanted to ensure that the jobs listed are carried out and he wanted to get his tail lamp replaced. He bought one for Rs. 932/- which is cheaper than the Alto.

Thanks TURBOSAM!

Thanks MF for formatting this thread for me.

Congratulations Payam. The car feels absolutely new. Enjoy it and maintain her well. Your car is going to be troublefree for the next 50k kms atleast! Change oil, filters and fluids every 7500 kms.

Great to know your problems are solved. B U Bhandari and MFji are the right way to go. I too visited their workshop and was really surprised at how professional they are. Wish you happy trouble free motoring for the future.
