Garuda is closed. Vijay Motors is new GM service centre.

Some background
I have booked Aveo 1.4 base model from Garuda bangalore and about to get my vehicle on 26th October. Today afternoon just i called the sales executive to find the status of my vehicle. I got the information that Garuda is going to close dealership with GM.
Now I have to deal with Sundaram Motors to get my vehicle. It's a very painful situation now. Since i have opted for company lease plan, again i have to submit a new invoice from Sundaram to the leasing company and all the process again.
Tomorrow i am going to speak with Garuda again and with Sundaram.

When are the shutting the shop? they should have completed the deliveries of vehicles at least to the extent of the bookings they have made. BTW, what is the raso these people are giving?

You can book this owner (of Gauda) and take him to consumer court if they are harassing you.

This is bad news for prospective GM Car buyers, since Sundaram will be now the sole dealer for GM, and these guys will exploit this situation very well, as they did with Fiat dealership sometime back, like absolutely no discounts, charging for Mud flaps, floor mats etc!

Also heard through a friend - who is a regular at Garuda - that they are taking over Maruti dealership from Sagar (who I believe is shunted out...) ...

freebies? discounts? exploit? is that all you want from a dealer? so by not giving free mudflaps and footmats, is the dealer exploiting the situation? don't buy a gm product then. if gm are cars are so good and you only want them, then why ask for a discount or footmats? why should the dealer offer a discount anyway?

its business and not charity. thats the bottom line. in any business people invest money to make money and not to give discounts or freebies if they can help it.

Garuda is saying October 27th they are closing down their shop. Those who have booked the vehicle and if its available at the bangalore GM yard they will do the delivery. Otherwise they will transfer the booking to Sundaram, that's was yesterday they'd informed me. Bad luck my vehicle is expected to come today or tomorrow. So I have to go through Sundaram. Anyway today i am going to meet them

yes, very much correct. They are going to exploit the situation very well. Their attitude is some what they are giving some favour to customers. I heard so many stories from palio owners.

Yes business is not charity, everybody is doing business to make money. But there is some ethics in doing business. Just see what happened to my case, till last moment Garuda didn't inform me anything about their dealership closer. Yesterday when i called them to find the updates they only i came to know about that. One or other way most of the dealers are same.

Garuda and Advaith are the same owners. So they will sell Maruti and Hyundai? Maruti already have 6 dealers in bangalore, more to come?

Strange! In Bangalore I see more GM cars with Garuda stickers than Sundaram. I believe they were doing better business than Sundaram or so they say. I've also seen people have moved out of Sundaram service and gone to Garuda.
