For my Baleno, they changed at 20K service, which I felt was not required. There were no problems with ignition etc. And the plug in my bike is runnning for some 40K kms without issues. So why change it at 20K for a car ?
well - i would assume that the Compression ratios of the car are much higher than on the bike so the possibility of wear and tear are a lot higher- as opposed to a bike. but then again - i could be wrong.
I used to change the sparkplug on my bike every 5K kms - a 2 stroke one that is.

If not too much trouble, could you post the break up or put up a scanned image of the bill. To get an idea of the service/spares cost.
Shall do that on Monday.

Man, 40000kms in 18 months ??? You need a diesel car many times over. In 18 months, I did not even have 15000kms on the odo.

True. But at that time there weren't many diesel options in C segment (not only in the C segment in B+ as well). And Fiesta was introduced only few months earlier and I had my doubts about the maintenance aspect of diesel cars. Sigh! Wish I had some nice advice! But at the earliest opportunity I shall go for a diesel.

suman, I thought you were the only guy around that went for a petrol car when the running-around clearly called for a diesel. Looks like you have competition from down south.
