Cheap service costs of Cedia

Dear BHPians,

Some of the bloggers are saying that Team BHP is biased to Cedia. I won't agree with that. You have to respect the best.

Do you want to know the Service cost of Cedia?

Upto 50,000 Kms its just Rs. 6800/- ( Regular Maint.. chrges) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believe it or not..........

If you still have doubt in what I am saying just walk into any Mitsubishi showroom they will give you the most transparent details part by part.

Not only Cedia, Mitsubishi has dropped the spare parts cost of all their existing models by almost 60%.

Cheerz...................
Good News to all Mitsu Fans like me !!!!!!!!!!!

Does this include oil change?
Could you provide a breakup of what are the costs.

This is great news for potential customers. All that is required now is some aggressive marketing and we could see some cedia's on road.

Hi Spitting fire, I didn't quite get the purpose of this thread unless you have a Cedia that has done 50,000 kms and costed you Rs. 6,800/- for service?
I do not doubt that a service of the Cedia can be cheap. Its all about the way you use your car.

If the total cost of service till 50,000kms is just 6800rs, then its an achievement.

It has been cheaper for the Honda City VTEC. In fact half the cost that is mentioned here for 52000 kms - Honda City VTEC 52k report

Guys,

I have the detailed breakup of scheduled maintenance till 80,000 km for the Cedia received from one of the Bangalore HM dealers around July 2007.

The cumulative costs till 50,000 km comes to Rs. 9,317 including labour, parts and consumables including all oil changes.

Thanks,

hi all,,

i had heard that mitsubishi in an effort to attract cust had brought down the cost of spares but this was done at the expence of quality.for ex shocks which were original had cost 12000 for the lancer and now gabriel shocks come as low as 2800 for the lancer ,but not sure whats the spares cost for cedia.no one will give you spares at a lower rate unless quality is compromised.atleast thats what i feel.a santro would be costing you double that and spark was adv that cost of maintenence would be something arround 12000 till 40000.

The spares are all imports from Mitsubishi Japan. Nothing is made in India. The maintenance charges are really low, other than the 100000 km service which costs 30k. Thats because the fuel filter+pump assembly is replaced.

About accident parts, I was recently rear ended by a zen that rammed into me at 70km/hr on the broken section of NH4 as it couldn't brake in time. That car was a complete wreck after that. When I heard the sound, I had feared for the worst and thought that my car's back was probably a complete mess.

However all that I got was a cracked bumper, a twisted rear skirt and some broken thermocol inside and the damage was barely anything. The cost of the bumper was 13k and the rear skirting was 14k, both including VAT. The painting/tinkering costed 6.5k. I had the car back in my hand in less than 3 days out of which 2 days were wasted on insurance formalities. The actual work took less than a day.

Folks, lets actually see bills from a 50k+ cedia rather than speculate. BTW my vtec bills are higher since I do a lot of preventative replacements

How can you give the OFFICIAL figure, unless you are the OFFICIAL .

Thanks,
What is the big deal with even a figure of Rs. 9317 upto 50000 km. That would mean 5 paid services at 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, 50K, or Rs. 1860 per service. Corolla cost approx Rs. 2000-2200 at 10K service. But then according to Corolla's maintenance schedule, labour costs are free upto 20K. Service costs may vary at other intervals. For Corolla according to the schedule, labour costs are Rs. 450 at 30K and 50K, but 750 at 50K. But Rs. 6800!. That would be substantially lower. Does 50K mean to include 50K service also, or include 40K service. Further, does 9317 include service tax or not.

I am also at my wits end to figure out why such a great car is a me too product everywhere across the world, and languishes near about the middle to bottom of segment sales.

By comparison, I recently had to get a major denting/painting job on my Corolla, where left doors were replaced and front bumper painted. Including taxes, The cost of 2 left door replacements was around 11.5K each, and paint was Rs. 5K each. The bumper replacement was at Rs. 7.5 K (which I opted out for even though it was to be paid by the insurance company because I had to pay 50%). Bumper paint was again at around Rs. 5 K. In Corolla, the expensive portion is the rear view mirror which is electronic and so costs around Rs. 6.5K.
