Swift Vdi - from Marketing Times?

Hello Friends

i am thinking to buy a white vdi so went to marketing times, rajouri garden with a freind to get a quote. the quote which was given to me is of nearly 560k and 20k extra if i want ABS.

the guy there told me tat there is a 4 to 5 weeks waiting for the car. i also told him that i want to register my car myself and can you give the car on temp no but he reffused it . Why ??? i dont know.

he also told me that because there is no working person in the house, i will only get 70% loan amount. is this true ??

the finance option comes as

209000 down payment which include first emi and 35 * 11xxx RS INR for three years .

So my question is
  1. Is the Deal Okay ???
  2. Waiting time is really redused or he is taking me for a ride ???
  3. Do you know any better Dealer ????
  4. Why cant i get a car out on temp. number ??? (i want 0077 as reg. number )
  5. is ABS needed in city driving ???
Waiting for your answers ..........

Notorious

Swift diesel has a long waiting period. Dealers claim a min 1 month waiting for vdi and anything for vdi with abs .

As for the deal check with a couple of more finance companies and haggle hard, I am sure finance companies will come out with a better deal.
Search other threads on this forum for finance deals.

You can get a number of your choice even if you do the registration thru dealer. Dealers have their own monetary calculations for not letting you do the registration.

ABS is a safety feature whether you are driving in city or highway. It is always recommended to have one.

Notorious, Marketing Times is not the best option for buying/ servicing a Maruti. Check out Competent or Rana or for that matter Rohan. You can try a different bank for financing your car. Public sector banksa re cheaper and have better terms but you will need to to go to them . They do not offer doorste service like the private banks. It helps in case you have an account with them.

Notorius, where do you stay? I suggest going to a couple of more dealers and then choosing a best deal.

Also, why would you want to get the registration done yourself?

I stay in Dwarka and go to Gurgaon daily for work. You can contact woof on the forum. Lives in Ashok Vihar and drives a VDI too.

Also, you can read my ownership experience at

You can try AAA Vehicleads in Malviya Nagar. It is a new dealer, so wait period is less. I got my VDi with no waiting period last month.

When my car got delivered, I got a temp registeration, I think u can also get one.. might be that u have to pay around 200 bucks for temp registration.

I'll pm you the dealer's number!

Cheers

Jaspreet

I was reading TOI epaper a few days back and saw that a new dealer has opened up shop in Pitampura or Rohini. You should try that, moreover, since you stay in Gulabi Bagh, its going to be near your place. This will be much closer compared to Malviya Nagar.

Notorious,

Will suggest you to go and take quotes/estimated delivery times from other dealers as well. I stay in Ashok Vihar, but bought my car from Rana Motors (near RK Puram).. just because I managed to get it within a week.

You will be able to get your car delivered earlier, if you try out a new dealer.

Even I heard opening of a new dealer recently in north delhi. Don't remember the name. Their workshop is in Wazirpur Industrial Area (somewhere near All Heavens).
