Though I bought the car from Khivraj, I did all the service from MSM. One of my friend came from ABT to MSM as the as the service was not god. MSM has pick up & drop facility which other dealers don't have.

Only one problem with MSM is they don't wash & clean the car properly, we have to keep on insisting them to do properly otherwise the service is good.

Checked back - Motorcraft at NOIDA is also Maruti Service Master and is private owned. So all MSM are not joint ventures.

I must say that I have been getting excellent service and attention to my cars at all times i have patronized them for last five years.

not possible, I think.

Please check the below URL :

MSM :: About

They seem to have only 4 outlets all over India.

MSM is a JV, and not a private entity

Dear Friends,

I see this thread is sleeping for a long time. As I got the ideas from one of the Mods how to search the old threads I got it and put my experiences. My car was badly injured by a truck near Koyambedu- Nerkunram junction and the picture with injury was posted in Ritz VDI ABS Silky Silver 6500kms. I handed over to Maruti Service Masters on 23rd and it was ready on 30th of Decmber. The spare is a big quarter panel which is from the bottom of the car to the roof except doors. They got it on 26th all the way from factory and completed the job on 30th. I took the delivery on 31st. It is unbelievable that it was a denting painting job. The New photo will be published tomorrow in the same Silky 6500kms thread soon.. Congrats Mr. Service adviser Ganesh, the Body shop Manager and the whole team. The insurance was maruti with New India assurance. I haven't seen the Surveyor or any explanation. Everything was done by them. Just I paid Rs.1000 and took back the vehicle. Only one thing I miss is my graphic sticker which I will get soon and make it as it was. So there is no body is better service provider than MSM in service in Chennai. MSM should Keep it up.

Re: Maruti Service Masters Chennai

Bumping up an old thread again.
Recently MSM is very crowded and I felt that the quality of service is not as good as it was couple of years ago.
Since I know several of them, I manage to get the job done, but how will a new customer do?
Also it looks like each SA has been given a business target to achieve (just like sales) and therefore they look for repair works very eagerly to fulfill their targets.
Of course this will not work with knowledgeable customers.
Did anyone experience this?

Worst experiences with Maruti Service centers

Mod Note : Please do NOT use more than 2 smilies per post. We advise you to read our rules before proceeding any further.

Hi Friends,

Just started this thread to highlight the service mishaps at India's most trusted automobile brand MARUTI's service centers.I've been through hundreds of threads here and understand that I'm not alone when it comes to claiming ones' rights from the service centers-be it a fair bill, right labor costs, right parts for the right repairs, delivery on time, spare vehicles during extended service delays, warranty claims, theft of accessories etc. Please do add in. My experience is as under

I'm so passionate about my SWIFT and thats why I've endured all the sufferings patiently. Its like taking care of your handicapped or mentally retarded child. You just can't do away with it. Its JUST YOUR OWN, YOUR VERY OWN and you only want t live with it

After my 2008 June, SWIFT LDi model hit a puddle in December 2010, I've had to run from pillar to post. First the vehicle was towed to VISHNU Cars in Chromepet. After three days they said that they don't yet have the gadgets to work on diesel engine as their service center was newly set up. Based on Jaggu's advice, I moved my car to MSM which is Maruti's own workshop. The car was there for more than 40 days during which time
  • I had to visit the service center atleast 10 times and was made to wait infinitely to meet one mechanic after the other as they were all away for Test Drives. The works manager stopped picking my calls but just used to text me after some missed calls. Right in front of his room I used to be but the workers in the billing section would say that he is away in a meeting etc.
  • There was no spare car given to me despite my repeated pleas
  • The BRONZE and the SILVER specialists ,after inspecting the vehicle while I had given it for re-repair, concluded that I was just driving with my feet on the clutch which had caused the clutch damage and the resultant vibrations (I've been driving for the past 12 years and it includes driving PREMIER HALF BODY lorry, 118 NEs, Tempo Trax, Police Jeeps, NEXIA, ANHC,CIVIC, M800s and this latest SWIFT LDi)
  • Then started this mail exchange with Maruti which sure did yield results, but still not satisfactory, cos after the clutch replacement, the gear oil leaks and MASS tells me again that the clutch has to be replaced (2 clutches changed in 10K kilometres and the third one needs to be changed in the next 5000 KMs.
I'm attaching the mail exchanges with Maruti here. only the final mail in the body to get the summary of it all

Hi Customer Care,

Thanks for making arrangements to get the engine problem addressed in my SWIFT LDi through PLA Motors and through your TSM Mr.Jagan.

Kindly trace all the mails exchanged on the Complaint#9165019914 and also the Job card no:JC10030546 and bill Invoice No:BR10033275 from MSM dated 12th January 2011, 17.46.49 hrs.

The engine transmission problem including the vehicle getting stalled in the second gear, low or no pick up, unresponsive drive in the highways like getting struck at 80-100KMPH move in the highways has been on since 12th January 2011. I had taken the vehicle back to MSM within just 1km of drive on 12th January, the same day of delivery, with the same problems. Please check the job cards on SWIFT-TN ** **7 at MARUTI SERVICE MASTERS since then and also MY MAILS WHICH WERE WRITTEN TO YOU FOR ASSISTANCE AS MSM WAS NOT PROVIDING ME A SOLUTION BUT ONLY GOT MY VEHICLE PARKED IN THEIR PREMISES AND RETURNED IT AFTER A FEW DAYS EACH TIME I HAD TAKEN IT FOR SERVICE.

No that PLA Motors had found that the Clutch and flywheel is damaged, they have changed it. I wanted to know the following
  1. I suspect a FRAUDULENT REPLACEMENT OF THE CLUTCH as I was made to pay for the new clutch (Check the Job card no:JC10030546 and bill Invoice No:BR10033275 from MSM dated 12th January 2011 17.46.49 hrs) There was a new flywheel (Srl No. 10, part number-12620M86J10) and CLUTCH components (Srl.No.22, part number-22100M86J40, Srl.No. 23, part number-22400M86J41, Srl No.24, part number-23820M79J00). WILL A NEW MGP CLUTCH WEAR OUT SO SOON EVEN IF SOMEONE WANTS TO STAND ON THE CLUTCH ALL THROUGH THE JOURNEY??????????
  2. WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE NEW PARTS FOR WHICH IA HAVE PAID Rs.7106.55. Please check if the MSM PEOPLE HAD PURPOSELY FITTED WORN OUT PARTS FROM OTHER CARS AS AN ACT OF VENGEANCE FOR ESCALATING THIS TO MARUTI, WHILE YET CHARGING ME FOR THE BRAND NEW PARTS or IF IT WAS AN ACT OF CARELESS ALIGNMENT OF PARTS WHICH HAS LED TO THE WEARING OUT OF PARTS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE OUT OF MSM.
  3. Careful inspection of the bill would also show that I'VE BEEN CHARGED TWICE FOR THE ENGINE OIL (Check the Job card no:JC10030546 and bill Invoice No:BR10033275 from MSM dated 12th January 2011 17.46.49 hrs, Srl No.40, part no:E-0W40 cost Rs.3168.88 and Srl.No. 41, Part Number EO-15W40-1 cost Rs. 818.23)......... A SWIFT Diesel CANNOT TAKE IN 6.6 liters of ENGINE OIL IN ITS SUMP and hence I WANT TO KNOW WHY I WAS CHARGED TWICE FOR THE ENGINE OIL and I wonder if there ever was a SYNTHETIC OIL poured into my engine oil sump by MARUTI SERVICE MASTERS.
  4. I WANT JUSTICE WITH REGARDS TO THE ENGINE OVERHAUL AND THE BILLING DONE AT MSM and I WANT REVERSAL OF AMOUNT AND WRONG BILLING.
  5. Hope MARUTI wouldn't ask me to pay for that FAULTY/ FRAUDULENT CLUTCH and FLYWHEEL REPLACEMENT AND DAMAGE DONE BY ITS OWN MECHANICS AT MARUTI SERVICE MASTERS.
  6. PLEASE ASK YOUR MECHANICS TO STOP TELLING THE CUSTOMER THAT IT WAS DUE TO DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON CLUTCH MODE that has lead to the clutch damage. If that is the case, how many clutches should have been replaced in my SWIFT TN ** **7 until it covered 37000kms before the engine overhaul in December2010/January2011. I've been driving for 11 years now and have 2 MARUTI VEHICLES including this SWIFT and AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF MARUTI I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO ASK YOU TO ADVICE YOUR EMPLOYEES TO CHECK THEIR WORK EFFICIENCY AND THEIR HONESTY THAN PASSING THE BLAME TO CUSTOMERS.
  7. Will a new MGP clutch last only for 5000 odd kms despite the fact that it was driven only on highways all those KMs where there was no clutch usage required? How was it that the old OE Clutch could last 37000 KMs despite the fact it was the same owner/driver who was driving it both before and after the engine overhaul
Maruti, you should own responsibility for the mental trauma you've caused to your customer through your shoddy service and also through ALL YOUR ACCUSATION ON THE CUSTOMER. You are also obliged to look into the cost involved when the customer was not given a spare car during all those extended days of parking the car in your workshops in the guise of REPAIRING IT. In these 7 months, the car was with your workshops for nearly 4 months.

The financial/mental stress caused by MARUTI needs to be compensated amply and may I request you to compensate the customer adequately at that. (This is the period when my pregnant wife had to be taken to the hospital for check up and emergencies and none of the explanation that I provided evoked a response from MARUTI SERVICE MASTERS-IT WAS ALL A FRANTIC CRY and I HOPE YOU WOULD DO WELL TO ENQUIRE YOUR EMPLOYEES at MSM which dealt with the customer like they would do to a dirt)

Thanks
Je******

Now, I've not got any SERVICE FEEDBACK FORM as I used to get all these 7+ years of owning Maruti 800 and SWIFT LDI until these escalations started.

Jaggu has been a wonderful guide-instantaneous in reponses whenever I had PMed/ texted .Thanks a ton Jaggu and hats off to TEAM BHP family

Re: Maruti Service Masters Chennai

Bumping up an old thread. I have been servicing my Swift ZDI since May 2012 at MSM. So far the work as been good except for an issue that surfaced recently.

AS part of the AMC, all my wheel alignment, rotation and balancing were done at MSM since the delivery of the car every 5k kms. Since the 16k kms, I had a feeling that the vehicle's was more tilted towards the left and was suspecting issues with the front left suspension. Told them to check the shocks at 20k and they came back and said that the shocks are fine.

After the 20k service, the issue became more prominent and visited them again at 22.5k to check the suspension again. The SA came along with me for a test ride, raised the car on a jack and concluded that everything is fine. I then suspected the wheel alignment but the SA said it does not look like a wheel alignment issue. Took the vehicle out of MSM and headed straight to a trusted wheel alignment center and found out that the vehicle had a big toe out especially the left wheel. After alignment the issue got resolved.

The local wheel alignment center guy who had been with Lal for many years mentioned that alignment issues with Swifts are rare and considering that the wheels were aligned every 5k with the latest being at 20k KMS.

I drive on bad roads and the alignment could have gone wrong. However, it begs the question on how the wheel alignment report done 2k before does not show any anomalies even though the symptoms of toe out were there even during the 20k alignment. I checked the 20k wheel alignment and the report did not showcase any major toe outs and after alignment report suggesting that everything was fine.

Based on the experience, I don't trust the wheel alignment at MSM anymore. Narrated the same to one of my friends who agreed with me and said that he had the same experience with respect to wheel alignment.

Hi Sridar, I serviced my swift VDI 2012, milege clocked 19600. I gave for 20k service and they charged me 9800 Rs(parts - 8500 + labour 1300) finally. However Just want to know whether the 20K service will cost this much? please reply.

When I went for servicing the car on day 1, they initially quoted 12500, where 3300 was the labour quote given.
For that labour charge, they justified with below points.

But I refused for other services offered by MSM like electrical wiring checking, freelane testing for checking shock absorb checking, ac vent cleaing etc they keeping as addon.

Earlier I had Hyundai i10., so I was known on the services they offer for paid service. But I found, MSM is trying to squeese customer money as much as possible by adding general paid service checklist(like brake checking) as an ADDON

Anyhow for next service gonna try ABT though MSM delivered the car on time and service made too found to be good.

Regards,
Rajesh

My bill was cheaper as I opted for mineral oil instead of synthetic and got the wheel alignment at19500 kms covered under the AMC signed up 10k. The labor is on par. Can you post the components of the bill. Despite their attempts for add on I would still stick to MSM over other ASS.We just need to say no to things not in the car manual.

Do you use synthetic oil? In that case, it does seem at par. Could you list out the items / scan & paste the bill here? That would help analyse whether there has been any additional items.
