I had sent my vehicle to Simran Motors Panvel for its first paid service (4th service) on near completion of 2 years of purchase. Vehicle had clocked 10,000 exact on service date i.e. 9th August.
I gave it on service asking them to postpone car wash and total cleaning until next month or so after monsoon as it would be a waste to get the car cleaned now and then again do it after monsoon.. They agreed to put the note in the Job card and Invoice accordingly.
They said oil etc are due for change. I will now list out the invoice details and leave it for others to comment whether I was ripped off or the money spent is normal :

Item----------------------Qty------ Rate------ Amount

1. Engine Oil -----------3.50----- 210.11----- 735.39
2. Oil Filter MPFI ----- 1.00--------74.35------ 74.35
3. Oil Flush ------------ 1.00 ----- 747.00 --- 747.00
4. Coolant ------------- 2.00 ----- 235.01---- 470.02
5. Oil Add--------------. 1.00 ----- 477.25---- 477.25

Labour and Services
1. Rung Repair --------------------------------------- - -
2. Paid service (below 20,000kms)
---------------------------7.00------- 100.00---- 700.00
3. Brakes Overhaul -- 2.20------- 100.00---- 220.00

Total Amount with taxes : Rs. 3538.00

I am not very sure wheter the Oil flush was a ripoff bec. they told me that the oil had already changed color and deposits are there in the engine chamber. Coolant charging seems to on higher side. I have highlighted the areas of concern. What exactly is Rung Repair ??? which seems to be a free repair !!

Views solicited on these details.

Sorry correction 2 years. Edited the post.

Brake story appears in my previous thread regarding a brake failure. So they got an excuse to charge me on that. Its just cleaning and no replacement of parts on regarding the breaks.

I would probably read Rung Repair as Running Repairs - Something that M.A.S.S use to refer any repairs outside the scope of a free service.

And Yes the Coolant replacement looks to be a bit on the higher side!!

S.K.Wheels in Navi Mumbai completed my fourth service a few days back. You can see the full invoice here.

The one point that stands out here is Engine Oil.

For me it was Rs.308/Ltr.

You paid at Rs.210.11/Ltr! That's a difference of almost Rs.100 per liter between two different dealers?

What about gear oil, brake oil, spark plugs? Can you post your service invoice here?

EDIT Just noticed that your car is a Swift. Please ignore my post.

I understand that engine oil cost is different because the engines are different. Why then is the oil filter costing almost the same in the 1.3L Swift and 1.6L SX4?

I have posted all the entries from the invoice. There was no mention of gear oil brake oil and spark plug !!

Wouldn't the oil for SX4 and swift be the same grade and make so why a price difference. Did you ask for the engine oil additive?

No I did not ask for it.

My 20K service on Wagon-R which included De-carbonizing and Front Calliper change costed me around 4200.
Yours is much on the higher side.

When is the 1st free service for Swift due? Just wondering ... Is it 1 month/1000kms or 2 months/1000kms?

I was also been told Sx4 engine oil is different from others. They need to use GV oil. Is that true ?
