If its a ignition key unit issue, problem will crop up when the new key wears out of shape.

Finally today the Safari was left at Manipal Motors-Hebbal.

Could'nt help it. Courtesy TATA Motors-Mumbai and Bangalore.

After my complaint was lodged in at their website and also the the Manager of TATA Motors Bangalore, Manipal motors were courteous enough to send me a written communication and also 10 calls made to make the vehicle available for thorough inspection.

I drop the car today which was normally starting each time i start, showing no signs of the erstwhile trouble. Ha Ha...

I've been assured timely and proper service of the car by the service Manager and the vehicle needs to stay at the service centre till tomorrow.

Thats OK for the timebeing, lets hope they rectify their mistake and do some good for their tarnished image.

No better explanation!

But seriously, good that TATA are atleast reacting to your complaint. Hope they get to find the fault and rectify it.

.. Guys guys. Here's the fresh update.

Morning 11:00am i call Manipal guys. tring... tring.... and again tring... tring... no answer.

11:30 am - Tring... tring.... Hello sir, good morning.
ME- Whats up with the Safari Madam

Manipal Motors -- Sir the Starter is overhauled completely and its getting fitted right now. Pls call me at 1:00 pm, will update delivery timings. And i hang up the phone.

Though this conversation gave me and my Brother some relief, we were anxiously waiting for 1:00pm.

1:00 pm tring... trinngg.... and again tring ..... trinnngg....-- no answer

2:00 pm tring.. trrr... Hello sir how are you. the car is now under inspection, we require some time to test it. Will call you later sir.. she hangs up.

This conversation did'nt generate any sort of trust over Manipal Motors now. Me and my brother head to Manipal Motors to check the happenings over there. We reach Manipal at around 3:30 pm.

What we find. the car parked inside without being attended. :< Now what... The lady comes over and even the supervisor and the service incharge greet us so courteously which surprised us., they take us to the car and ask us to test drive the car. It was evident that the starter work was done. The car jus started effortlessly. Wow, our hope reinstated,we get on with the car like scientists finding fault. The car had none, its working fine no starting issues... Great.

This incident actually proved that the Manipal motors do have well trained people and they actually did a great job on the car.

Some small things were required like the rear BSIII sticker, some screw caps inside the car and the spoiler screw cap. these were ordered and was assured to be available on Monday.

Thats it folks,, as of now the car is fine and is Home. and some face saving for Manipal for time being.

Hahahaa... was expecting some bad experience, but surprised (pleasantly) that it was a good experience!

Great to know that the issue has been sorted out and hope it remains that way.

And maybe it was just that they were pain lazy during the first time around.
