I had just forgotten this thread! Here's what finally happened:
As a culmination of events which included writing to Fiat about this issue, Manipal Motors had procured the VS Max brand of oil as recommended by the Fiat Manual. This subsequently went into my car. The oil was priced on par with the Castrol that MM wanted to fill in - the difference being that the VS Max came out of a sealed container as opposed to the bulk purchase Castrol. The whole process had delayed the car's service by about a week.
Anyways, as of today Manipal Motors has shut down! Concorde provides better service IMO. |
