Mediocre experience with GM service

Hi,
It was time to service my new Chevy Beat for the 1st free servicing and so I took an appointment with Pashankar Auto . I had a choice of two places to service and I chose the service centre located on Pune-Satara Road.
Let me break this experience into pieces -
1) Accessibility - The workshop is located in a lane (yes its a lane off the highway). There are absolutely no signs as to where it is. So I took the wrong turn and was lost. I came back to the highway went to the showroom and had to ask a person in the dealership about the exact location. Finally I had to retrace my steps and found the lane where the GM service shop is located.
Verdict-2 / 10 for the poor choice of location

2) Appearance and first impresssion - Well save for the Chevy board , it looked like just another garage where vehicles are parked randomly. I had no way to drive my car in and had to park in that lane itself with the security of the garage looking out for the car. To get the car inside it took the mechanic at least 15 mins to shuffle and re-shuffle it.
Inside the compound an office (looked like a sarkari kacheri) was where I had to locate the service engineer. Normally number of service engineers is more than the customers coming in. And as soon as someone walks in he / she is usually catered to. Here I did not find anyone. There was a crowd at the counter with paan and gutkha chewing folk who were drivers of "Tavera" tourist vehicles. For a second I thought maybe I was in the wrong place. After waiting for a good 15 mins and almost deciding to give up , a man in a GM shirt came up to me and asked me what I wanted.
I hadn't gone there to chat about the weather. Also he was the one handling accounts.
Verdict -
Attention to customers - 2/10
Overall appearance - 3/10 (pathetic for a company like GM)

[ I also saw that few "repeat" customers come in. All of them complaining that the recommended tyre alignment done was problematic. These folk were quietly and quickly escorted outside. Anyway the majority of paan/gutkha chewing other customers didn't care. ]

3) Receving the Vehicle and Customer Facing Role - Well the engineer cum accountant seemed to be OK. At least but he spent most of his time parking my car in the proper place and heard me out for 5 mins. Of course I had no complaints so it was OK I guess. Well anyway it seems the 1st 3 servicings are only inspections. No oil change / filter change et al.
While delivering the vehicle the paper work was ready. The vehicle was parked in a place where again the poor fellow spend a good 10 mins to bring it out to the gate.
Verdict - 4/10 . The service guy was OK and so he gets 4 marks.

In general it was an experience like no other. Well next time I wonder whether I should give my car for servicing here or try the other outlet. But overall I am disappointed. I have owned Alto , Santro and currently I own a Honda. Well I am happy with Honda. Hyundai service was good too. Maruti service has improved a lot.
Chevy, I feel, has miles to catch up on this front.

Anyone have similar experiences ?

@ambivalent, I had my spark checked /serviced at the pune-satara road service center. As you rightly pointed out the turning is very easy to miss. Infact the first time I went there , I had to park my car at Bhartiya Vidyapeeth and then call up the service center guy, who immediately sent a driver there in 10 mins .
As far as service advisors, there are only 2 service advisors. I also had to wait for the service advisor to come back to his desk and then attend to me but usually i was asked for tea/coffee at those times.
IMO they need more manpower in this service center as lately the number of cars getting serviced here has increased since 6 months (earlier I used to get easy appointments 1-2 days in advance only this time it takes almost a week)
