I too want to know Kun VW feedback. My Vento is due for it's yearly service and Kun is quite near home. I had given to Abra and then to Sundaram for the last 2 times.

Took the chance and gave it to Kun. Felt that the bill was a lot higher.
The SA pushes so many things and had to negotiate quite hard with him.
Except the location which is close to my place, I did not find anything great.
Will go back to TVS next time around.

I have been taking my VW POLO petrol for service to mount road (Whites Road) service centre. My overall impression is its very expensive. On an average each service costs about 9K. I have finished 4 so far and have about 60k on the dial. Since my last service in feb, i have been having too many issues. The car stopped on the road several times after suddenly loosing pressure. They have changed fuel pump, fuel filter and now Crank shaft sensor.
They have no availability of parts. each part too two weeks to procure!! the worst thing is they take the car in and make you wait for weeks weather you like it or not. Overall the experience has been very unprofessional.

I have no idea what else they will change (maybe cam shaft sensor!!) but so far have spent about 50K including last service and counting.

regards
krish

So you must be at , or close to, the end of the warranty?

Dealer service is a must for warranty cars only: once over, you have the freedom to go anywhere, and you should use it!

Where in Chennai can you get Polo tdi serviced outside the VW network?

Re: VW- Service centre - Chennai - Service Feedback updated

KUN VW has got to be one of the worst of the lot with just no customer management skills. Their service is also not that great and lack any out of box thinking for any issues apart from standard service.

For a minor rattle noise from the dashboard they made me roam around 3 times to their service center with 0 diagnostics and resolution.

Trying to reach VW Mount Road and hope to see a resolution.

With an influx of cars that were caught during the floods, this seems to be a huge hindrance for regular service goers. Hope the situation improves.

Regards,
Shrikanth

Ignite, probably. I only know about them because they are nearby to me, I met Raghav through something else entirely, and they did some small work to my old Swift for me --- they could have done a big work, but honestly advised me that it was not worth it.

In fact, we talked about possible restoration of my flooded Polo, but didn't take it up.

My 4 th service is due. Is it any worth to stick to VW service centers in Chennai? ABRA, KUN and TVS, all seem to be equally bad. I personally had bad experiences with ABRA and KUN. Thought of trying out TVS, but the feedback is equally bad. Please let me know your suggestions.

I am taking my Polo to Ignite for some body work: a dented and slightly scratched rear wheel arch.

My usual dealer/workshop, Sundaram in Chennai, did a superb job of some much more serious damage to my old blue Polo. It will be interesting to compare. I'm telling them the brief is as good as new. Sundaram achieved that with the door on the old car.

As for body work on Polo or for that matter any other car I have had a great experience with My TVS ambattur. They did a dent removal with paont work on my Polo hatch door. Great job and excellent paint jb at a fraction of the cost quoted by ASS. In fact for my other cars also i get my body wok done there.

My 90K service is due. Have been getting all the services so far from Sundaram VW. Thinking of taking it to a different dealer this time. Both the Kun showrooms are closer to home compared to Sundaram. Are they good in recent times?

KUN has traditionally been not good at all - for Honda’s as well as Volkswagens. They are more expensive, try to push a lot of “value added services” and most importantly their actual service work is not half as good as TVS Sundaram. I think TVS has a lot more ethics than KUN for sure.

For out of warranty service or for those who want to go outside, for Volkswagen and other VAG cars, Vagmaster in Velachery is the very best and most affordable option. They have a good workshop, are passionate and never try to hoodwink / cheat customers.
