I recently made a flooding claim where water had entered my Dzire and SDM module that control airbags had stopped working. (I noticed airbag light in the panel). on inspection by dealer, they confirmed that the damage is due to water. The insurance guy paid 50% of Rs 23,000 SDM part. The part had a metallic casing and I think it should be counted as a metal part and not plastic(@50% depreciation). Any experience ?

Normally all Airbag related parts are considered part of plastics and claim is approved only for 50%. Therefore it makes a lot of sense to go in for 0% dep insurance where even plastics are 100% covered.
