Just so you know are others are aware of this, i received my Insurance documents and card a week back and they did not charge anything extra for the 3rd party insurance. Also the dates co-encide from the earlier insurance (i.e. Starts 22 April 2013 and ends 21 April 2014)

Mayank, that is a great news. Good that you finally got the document without any further ado.

Have an update now. You may see my earlier posts to understand my problem. Mine got concluded like this.

The agent (CARNATION) after issuing cover note to me on 30th March called up after 2 days that I have to pay Rs. 1600/- more as there was some error in calculation.

I politely refused saying that by paying that amount they (Bharti Axa) become costlier than my renewal of policy from ICICI Lombard.

2 days later got a call again from agent that if I don't pay the policy period will be reduced proportionately and issued. I dared him to do whatever he wanted to do as I have the cover note clearly stating the period IDV etc.

After that call I called up and emailed Customer care of Bharti Axa and lodged a complaint about the delay in issuable of policy document against a valid cover note.

With couple of follow up of the complaint today I have received the Policy by email. Checked for the period and found alright.
