The process is moving very slowly. The estimate for one of my cars came in 9 days ago and I still haven't heard from Digit (it is a total loss).

All in all, very poor experience
Sincere condolences on losing the car. It is indeed a very pathetic experience dealing with these people.

Have tweeted at GoDigit on twitter handle @heydigit and a couple of senior managers I could find with the help of LinkedIn.

Hoping this blows up and GoDigit realises that ghosting customers has consequences.
Thank you for the help Kalash.

Thank you for the input and the CEO's linkedin profile. I will share my ordeal with her, hope she can resolve this.

Thank you for tweeting this. Someone from their team reached back assuring this shall be sorted out and apologized saying it was due to miscommunication. Shall update on how this goes.

Any movement on your case? Do update once you have something to share.

Very difficult. Even if they do the change now, processing old date case will be super hard. They won’t able to do in the name of previous owner too as the name on RC is different already.

Tricky situation.

Hi, there's no update. Just an endless exchange of emails asking them to have it sorted. It's a really pathetic experience. Leave aside the claim, they still aren't able to arrange a person for manual inspection of the car for transfer of insurance.

Agreed, but my point being it happened due to their negligence. To be frank I have no hope on these people. Have even marked their CEO in the email trail and there's no change in their approach to having it sorted or speeding up the process.

Re: Neglect in insurance transfer by GoDigit; company goes incommunicado

Hi, I’ve had a similar experience where my civic was insured by digit by the previous owner and insurnace transfer was in process . A car scraped my door, fender and bumper so I called them up.

Similar story to yours where multiple calls and emails were sent but no real solution. In the end I was talking to the regional manager but they just paid me 3k-4k randomly out of 20 making it a waste of time for me

@duker2997, thanks for sharing your experience. I do hope that your issues get resolved soon. From what I'm seeing looks like you've exhausted all avenues of resolution with the insurance company. Only option left is to go to the insurance ombudsman I guess. Please keep us all posted. It'll definitely help many in avoiding or handling a similar situation.
Regards,
Lsjey

Re: Neglect in insurance transfer by GoDigit; company goes incommunicado

Having read sooooo many cases of acko and godigit shafting their customers I guess it makes sense to stick to the established names like HDFC, Tata etc. I hope they resolve your issues soon
